LOL... so "BASICALLY" this is Ime's covert way of saying that that Alpi should've gone for 50pts/18reb/10ass!! ;)

@AroundTheWorld, is Ime giving Alpi the GOAT praise!! o_O

Don't worry. Jalen's accountability will come at the trade deadline.

Sengun needs to establish himself early in the game, Udoka is right. It will open the game up for everyone else.

One of my favorite books. In fact, I loved all of Puzo’s books. The movie follows it almost to a tee, except it doesn’t start with Don Corlene in Sicily. The second movie takes care of that. Puzo’s books are not literarily elite, but very entertaining. If you like them move on to Clavell starting with Shogun. Super entertaining historical fiction. You can tell who my favorite author and dog is, followed by Faulkner, Tolstoy, and McMurtry in no particular order.

If you want a pushover coach, get Steve Nash (might be a bit unfair since his players acted like children in Brooklyn).

Leadership can be difficult because not every player or person is the same.

So while it seems "fair" to treat everyone the same, it doesn't always work.

Udoka knows the personalities and the strengths and weaknesses of his players.

There is a reason that at a press conference he called out Sengun but did not Green or Smith or Thompson.

That doesn't mean there are not consequences for when other players struggle - there will be, they just may be behind closed doors, or in trades etc.

It reminds me of Dennis Rodman. For as good a coach as Pop has been, he did not know how to handle Rodman, because to Pop everyone has to adjust to Pop and not the other way around. Pop gave Rodman away, and likely cost the Spurs a title or two --- while Rodman went to Chicago, where Phil Jackson, who was mediocre and X's and O's, was able to handle Rodman as a person and was able to get the most out of him - and the Bulls won three more titles.

If Green keeps struggling - there will be consequences - Udoka isn't Stone or Silas.

Consistency is what makes superstars. It's really tough to achieve, especially for a center at such a young age. You have to do it when you're tired, sore, sick, or having personal stresses. If Sengun is the guy we think he is, he'll level up another time or two this season.

God, our announcers are horrible. So grating. They absolutely ruin games and highlights.

Looks like Bulls fans thought that one half he showed up for was pretty decent.

When I think back to the Silas press conferences it’s such a stark contrast with Ime.

On critique of Alp's first half, both Spo and Billy Donovan, puts gameplan on us, which I'm not surprised that it worked. Then as the game go on, and possibly the opposing center racks up his fouls, their ability to defend Sengun eases up.

Again I'm not sure it's an Alp effort level thing as much as other team's defense is potent, and Rockets/Sengun has to find counters. The more defensive coverage they see (and overcome) from different teams, the better it will be in the future.

Rockets/Sengun can learn (and grow) more from the Heat/Bulls's defense, than on upcoming games like with Detroit. The uncomfortable games are more valuable learning opportunities.

I like that Alp's still finding ways to score, but there are times where instead of finishing inside with defenders draped, he should look to pass out more to open shooters.

Ime Udoka isn't a victim, and he will not accept or allow his players to be victims either.

Stephen Silas was like a "before" picture for Prozac medication.
