Cam should get all of Tate’s minutes and situationally take some of Jalen’s and Holiday’s. He did get lost on defense a couple of times, so he may get a slight demotion next game as a lesson. Tate played horribly this game. The writing is on the wall.

Playing in the 4th and OT last night in a tight game. Looks like he's never going back to the G league again. Love to see him getting his opportunity.

 

The way Cam crushes it at the rim with opposition gives me the same feels as when TMac was in his prime. Can't wait to see more of it.

 

That's simply lack of experience. I don't see it as "demotion" worthy if you mean fewer minutes. If anything he needs more minutes to work on those issues and should get them instead of the guys you mentioned in your first sentence.

Speaking of more minutes, I wonder if coach told him he would be getting much more minutes last night prior to the game. I thought he slowed down towards the end of the game and I'm wondering if it was fatigue. He runs and cuts so much when he first comes into the game if he doesn't know he is going to get a lot more minutes he doesn't know to pace himself. It seemed the shots he missed at the very end could have been fatigue related.

 

Well he was clubbed on that dunk attempt, literally fouled on his arm as he goes up.....no call.

The odd thing is you cannot punish players no more because the alternative is more Tate, more Jeff Green, more Holiday.....

so true. cam beating the DD's favorite player allegations. But we know that man is forever cursed. We doing everything possible to un curse him, but we know its coming. praying for you Cam.

Tari has been out after DD said he loved tari and tari hasn't missed a game since the womb.

Also Amen cant dribble since DD's love for him.

 

If memory serves me correctly he missed that one, a long mid range and a three toward the end. I was more referring to the jump shots. He's been such a good shooter I'm surprised when he misses and wonder if fatigue was a factor.

 

I think Udoka has realized...begrudgingly, that we really need the offense on this team. His missed assignments and tunnel vision are just something we probably need to tolerate for now.

Hopefully with regular coached NBA reps he starts to clean some of these things up. When Brooks and Eason are both ready we'll see where he's at.

 

Cam learns every game he gets minutes. This was his first winning time minutes. he knows the leash is short.

If I had to describe Cam's game in 3 words, 2 of them would be those. I would also add "authority" as the 3rd

 

Cam is so lucky his first NBA coach is Ime. He could have been like Jalen who has to relearn how to hoop because Silas didnt teach him how to play winning ball. All of Cam's bad habits are being massaged away in year one.

 

So besides the DD curse, we now have the Mathloom curse.

 

We need to do an ancestry test and find out why they are cursed.
