Wow, so that blown call possibly gets Dallas 2 home games and homefield vs Detroit if they meet again.
Yeah, 3 players come to the ref, one saying im eligible, and they said "#70 is eligible, when they should have said #68 is eligible.
Blown report, not call. Do you think there wasn't a little game playing with reporting the way they did to cause confusion?
Surprised titans fired vrabel. Seems it would be a lock that he goes to NE if they do move on from bill.
Vrabel lost 18 of his last 24. He was forced to fire assistants only to replace them with clones. His ego got in the way of change. For example, he reverted back to the same two back system that failed him earlier in his career, despite having the #2 RB in the league, and despite having success in a one back system. The culture of toughness he was known for, dissipated on his watch. And he inherited a good team, only to watch them vaporize to what they are now. I don't see him as a good coach. The team didn't get better. They were in massive decline. He was good at trick plays. I'll give him that. New England, nor anyone, had any reason to offer a pick, let alone a first rounder for him. They guy was on a lifeline. And the league knew it.
If Mike Tomlin steps away like reports are saying and The Hoodie gets replaced….might be the wildest coaching season in sports history.
84-103 without brady. Tom had some faustian deal. The patriots weren't good until he started and sucked after he left.
Thats tough, it's like the chicken and the egg, was it Brady who made him a great coach or 50-50, I tend to think it was 50-50 and I will give Bill the accolades he deserves but he sucked in Cleveland and without Brady hasn't had much success. Its just crazy all the coaches who are leaving or being asked to leave..................I feel bad for the next coach at Alabama or NE, don't be the rebound girlfriend, be the girlfriend after that
Whats so odd is that Brady was average until about 2007 then became godlike. Those early Superbowls were all Belichicks defense. When Brady left it really exposed just how out of date Belichicks defensive Kung fu had gotten.
The defense was still good. The offense not so much. Bill won with Matt Cassel. He won the first year with Mac Jones (Did he really miss Josh McDaniels that much). And honestly going 7-9 in 2020 was one of the most impressive things I've ever seen. Cam Newton was basically just a running back that season. I wish he was going to the Jets. It would have been crazy given how he left the Jets, but it would have been a perfect situation for him. Right now almost feels like San Diego or bust given the open jobs. If the Cowboys lose in the WC round...
Other than Pop, has there been another dynastic professional sports coach who either hasn't been fired or forced to resign? Phil Jackson with the Lakers?
