Let's hope Jose Abreu could become one of our better signings. He was carrying us at the end of the season and during the playoffs. If that can be consistent throughout the next seasons, that'll help our WS chances tremendously.

And none required breaking the bank just to placate the fans.

We would have gone to the world series if Framber and Javier didn't have a melt down. I blame part of that on Maldy for calling the same pitches and being predictable.

My family and I went to an event in early September, and we were fortunate to have a conversation with Brantley. He was ready to play and mentioned it. The biggest issue was Dusty "trying" to balance out playing time for Diaz, Maldy, Yordan, Chas, and Meyers. Meyers and Diaz were pretty much benched towards the end. Diaz, Brantley, Yordan, and Chas needed to be the everyday starters leading up to the playoffs and in the playoffs.

Myles Straw did a really nice interview about 20 minutes ago on MLB radio talking about Brantley.

    That's a great chart.

Best hitters I've seen with the Stros, approach-wise:

    Moises Alou
    Uncle Mike
    Terry Puhl

He got the game ball for a World Series game he didn’t even play in. That says a lot.

Resign him on the Astros regardless, as a Coach for sure. Hitting Coach, Advisor Role.

Bregman probably should make your list too. If he turns to look at the ump, even the ump knows it was a missed call.

That wasn't true this past year like it was in previous years. I don't know what changed, but I suspected a change to his vision.

Well, last year he struck out 87 out of 724 plate appearances - 12%, right in line with his MVP season and less than his career 13% and right around Brantley 11% average. And he always walked more than Brantley.

I agree last year wasn’t his best, but his eye was as good as ever.

I'm specifically considering strikes he argued where he was wrong.
