He can’t get going cause everytime we call his number he’s hit 3-4 steps behind the line.

Maybe teams are playing him as run only option because we never use him in passing game

This is silly. The line is blocking well today and the Bengals have one of the worst rush defenses in the league. Singletary is also playing well, but this doesn’t mean Pierce is bad.

I'm not doubting Pierce, I'm doubting his fit.

What I've noticed is Pierce misses holes. He is a hard runner, so he normally runs straight into the defender. No side steps, or cut backs, just straight ahead.

From game one, I've noticed that Singletary see the hole alot better. Hopefully Pierce gains the vision in this offense.

Very unfortunate with DP...he's just not fitting into the current scheme. Texans should look at another RB if Singletary doesn't re-up.

We should trade DP to a team where he fits the scheme and recoup some draft capital.

I loved how he played for us last year, but he's just not a fit in this offense.

According to the running efficiency chart Devin Singletary isn’t some amazing running back either. I still think the main issue is run blocking, but at this point it’s clear that DP is also not a good fit for this scheme and probably lost too much weight to try to fit the scheme taking away from his natural running style. Quite frankly, he gets tackled much easier than he did last year and that’s likely because he lost too much weight.

I've always thought the emphasis on weight was too great. What you're really after is lean weight or muscle mass. You don't want to lose it and you don't want to carry too much fat (but you do need some). But I wasn't watching last season so I've never seen him do well except in highlights of last season.

I guess he fits at Kick Return.

It actually makes a lot of sense: he gets to run downhill and has the opportunity to see the hole/crease and blast through it.

The most genuine humble interview given by Pierce post game.
    * He was as surprised as you were when he found out he was returning kicks.
    * Toughest season for him. "I've never faced adversity playing this game before. I will fix this in the offseason. It's not something I can change right now."
    * " Slow' hasn't given up on me and Singletary helps me with picking up this offense."

    * "Someone doesn't have to be older to look up to them. I look up to #7. The way he prepares and carries himself. He's a good dude."

Hes always had one of the greatest attitude of anybody on the team. He just seems like a very good dude.
