Without Wemby this would have been an easy win

 

Wemby did have 15 points,18 rebounds, and 5 blocks. So, he was doing things.

 

He weighs like 125 pounds.

His presence still made it hard for the Rockets to score in the paint. Everybody looked completely flustered when they got near the basket.

 

Its crazy that Jabari, who is obviously a huge human, looks comically small driving on wemby here.

 

Honestly only way to find success against these freaks like Chet and Wemby is playing bully ball and Sengun is perfectly capable of doing that. They have no strength whatsoever. On defense if you stand your ground he will not be able to drag your ass to the rim and score on you. What's his weight i think it's not over 200. A 200 Ibs guy can not be stronger than a 260 Ibs guy. Power moves from legs to hips and Chet and Wemby both have no muscle down there so they can't generate enough power from their legs to push you with their hips. Above the waist line they are also not muscly so they can't back you down with their shoulders. They will have to settle for turnaround jumpers and you live with that shot.

On offense Sengun looked perfect against Chet. Bumped him got closer to the restricted area and took away his length. When you are 14-15 feet away from the basket you have to shoot over Chet to score but if you get his ass to the restricted area you can score by using the glass because his hands will be up there and he won't be able to lower them sideways to block your shot.

Today Sengun wasn't assertive enough. Uncle was and he f'd Wemby up pretty good. It looked pretty easy didn't it? Because it is easy if you are skilled and have balls. You can be flamingo at times playing against Valanciunas and Looney since they are big boys but you have to go full grizzly bear on these guys. You have to maul them in the paint to find success.

 

There are two hateful losers on this thread who clearly aren't Rockets fans. They value "scoring points" against other Rockets fans above supporting all Rockets players. Embarrassing.

Wemby’s lack of strength is his Achilles heal. He’ll get his blocks but the team should have kept attacking him like in the clips above. He would have been in foul trouble pretty quick

 

Wemby is special man. Luckily for us the Spurs have hardly a speck of talent outside of him.

Wemby tries to stay off the offensive player so that he can use his length to block the shot. People will figure out the way to beat him is to keep bodying him. He doesn't have the weight and strength stay anchored.
