Meyers at cf? I thought Luis Robert is my wish for cf. Maybe that happens soon!

Bregman is gonna break out bigtime and put us on his shoulders and carry us. Lets see how many 1st inning games start off 2 to 0 w a Bregman bomb with Altuve on base. Lots n lots!

Watch it just be them bringing back Neris. They were still in contact recently. Brown saying they won't overpay for relievers is him saying our offer is our final offer. And them being linked to Hicks was them trying to make Neris think they're moving on. Joking aside, as much as I want a Neris to come back, hopefully it's a new player to bring some excitement to this off season.

My WAG from reading too much into Dana Brown’s comments: he’s close to acquiring Dylan Cease or Tyler Glasnow. One of the prospects going back to the other team is Rule 5 eligible (hence the deal can’t be completed until Thursday to ensure the player wasn’t chosen). Hunter Brown will be the headliner going to the other team. Detailed guess:

    Astros get:
    SP Dylan Cease

    White Sox get:
    SP Hunter Brown
    OF Colin Barber
    RHP Spencer Arrighetti

These numbers must be before his throws 2 hops off the back of the mound.

Just kidding potential GM trade partners...He actually has a cannon.

It’s cool that Crane is running the Astros like Lacob is running the Warriors.

Altuve is Curry, Bregman is Klay. Either way Dynasty is over

I'm not in love with the Meyers at C and Chas at LF. Meyers makes some great players at C. I had the opportunity to see him make that awesome catch at Yankee stadium this year when he hit two home runs. This team needs a bat with pop to help compliment when anyone not named Yordan can't hit a HR. I had hope that Soler would be someone they could add at LF.

@Snake Diggit I think you're right about the focus for pitching...

    Not at all,

I'm more of a Loperfido fan, or a fan of trading to upgrade the position.

Really, I dont think he's got a vision for the MLB team. He's all over the place. He needs to just do his job. Of course the real reason he was hired to begin with is his ability to rebuild the farm system. I also hope he's got strong connections in Cuba, Venezuela, Dominican. This is where Luhnow made his name. Thanks Oz.

I wish Crane had just hired Sig and got Oz and Goldstein back in the fold.

With the shitty way last season ended a shiny new toy to be excited for would be awesome.

I would settle for a really good reliever at this point.

Meyers and McCormick in the OF together regularly is going to be a drain on the offense. Not a Maldy drain, but still a drain.

Don’t know if I’d like that as an Astros fan.

Every time Myers got it going last year he was pined. We'll see. I feel like he'll do much better under a new manager.

Will any RP other than Hader bring excitement to this offseason?

Possibly Hicks or Rodriguez. But like Hader, could be out of their price range. Also Rodriguez is unproven so he could be a bust.

And he's trying to spin it by saying, no we weren't shopping him. Teams were calling us about him lol

Also Brown made it seem like they might be close to a signing. Any idea who?

I wouldn’t be so sure Meyers gets 500+ at bars next year with the Astros. I hope he does because it means he is hitting well … but Brown has said many things since getting the job, and sometimes the opposite happens.

Diaz could have a sophomore slump if he isn’t careful with plate discipline (which is something they are working with him on), but even if his OPS is .750 it is a massive offensive upgrade.

I hope Abreu gets on base more than last year.

They always say that. Do I think the Astros went into the season dead set on moving Meyers? No, but I also know the Astros let teams know he was available in a trade for a good leverage reliever under team control or as part of a bigger deal.
