Honestly, I think he threw it pretty much where he intended to put it. I think he expected (and was trying to direct) Metchie to turn more straight up the field instead of at an angle. That's my guess anyway when I saw the replay. As for that personal foul on Singleton, I keep thinking are there any other examples of Stroud showing us what it looks like to be a cagey veteran despite being a rookie and before yesterday's game I felt like we had pretty exhausted all those examples. I hadn't even considered baiting a hot-head defensive player into a stupid penalty.
I think you're right about that throw. I really think it's just a disconnect between them, if it was Nico or Schaultz...that's probably a completion. Metchie hasn't played too much this year, so I'll give it time between them.
I wanna say there was beef from a couple of plays before too. On a qb sneak singleton was jerking CJs neck pad in the pile. I dont know about anybody else but I wouldnt like that too much.
