Lol like Patrick has really done something in this league, but I give him that he made the league....
He's played 12 seasons, made 8 playoff appearances, played over 650 games, started in over 80% of those, made 3 NBA all-defensive teams, career 37% 3PT shooter, career 2.8 to 1 A/TO ratio, and renowned for playing with heart and energy. Sounds like a hell of a career to me. Overcoming being waived before his rookie year (didn't get a shot until 3 years post-draft), and of course a ton of injuries throughout his career. All while being somewhere around 6'0 - 6'1, 170-180 pounds, crawling back into the league at 24, and hosting a dozen-year career almost exclusively as a starter - plagued with injuries - at that size is TOUGH. Guys like Jermaine Taylor can get credit for just making the league, Bev has done more than just make it IMO.
He talks like he has no respect for younger players though, he talks like he is a sure HOFer which he is not..... It is weird knowing where he came from, and he is disrespecting some young guns....lmao.. The other reason could be that he is not understanding after all those years, how tanking works.... and if you do not have top veterans, your team is going to be bad for seasons. ESPN was rating players for their potential obviously.
He's just a sh*t talker, talking about where he came from... maybe it's a cultural difference to find it particularly offensive. Growing up playing basketball here in the States, it's a common persona, and it's not meant to be taken seriously, especially in and about sports. A lot of people turn into LaVar Ball on the basketball court, but don't see how that takes away from their accomplishments.
Of course but I thought he was more intelligent off the court but I am not holding my breath... All Defensive team guy does not make him a good Interviewee.... You know loads of those guys that are performers, they are really just normal humans when they are not in the spot light.
Pretty sure Banchero achieved more in his rookie year than Pat Bev his entire career. He is a career role player and already washed so he shouldn't be saying "who" to Franz Wagner and Banchero like he is some kinda hall of famer.
