I will never not get over this. Yet there’s like a CBD shop on every corner and n the freaking street!!! Texas you’re a joke!
That's "conservative" values for you. Lots of conservative people think mar1juana is like crack still and freak out about it.
Sure BUT if they simply let us vote on weed legal vs weed illegal I assume it would be legal. Somehow the boomers get to make our rules.
Oregon > Texas We have lots of water, trees, mountains, Subarus, lesbians, lesbians driving Subarus, hipsters, AND LEGAL POT. Suck it Texans!
was literally coming here to say this exact line haha I don't know how true this is considering some of the states that have passed at least medical weed. my family in Louisiana make monthly trips to their weed stores near Baton Rouge.
Even if they passed it here in Texas would I be able to smoke again working at a refinery? I feel like that would be a no...and not something I would risk.
just like now, drug tests are completely up to the employer. doesn't matter whether weed is legal or not. they drug test for several jobs in legal weed states
there are federal laws that apply, depending on the scope of work performed. But yeah, it’s silly. Jake can have a 6 pack the night before work and still show up for work just fine, but Tom does the same thing but with a joint and he could lose his job. there is certainly an old guard still opposed but they are old and those replacing them aren’t near as inflexible, I hope
This is my issue. I don't work in the refineries but as a consultant, I have to be green lit by DISA.
This isn’t about weed, it’s about the police-prison industrial complex. Legalize weed and you lose at least hundreds of millions in tax dollars to arrest, try and imprison weed offenders. Think about everything you need to live - food, clothes, medical care, etc. That also translates to lost jobs so police unions certainly back weed prohibition. Then there are the private prisons in Texas that will lobby against legalization because it’s their business model.
I love how all the lib-tards talk crap about Texas, yet are moving here in drones...if you don't like it, Cali or New York is a short flight away.
