Did you even read the article? It is a long list of complaints about other leftists supporting the Iranian theocracy because it stands opposed to the US.

 

Which is really the point. Don't generalize or lump all people into a group. Stop labeling all leftists, all conservatives, all Palestinians, all Israelis, etc. Some folks are so desperate to label and categorize folks and that almost never has a positive result..

But for those who seek to dehumanize, it is a useful fall-back.

It's clear that there is an unholy alliance of (many, but not all) leftists and Islamists.

Pointing out this fact and the ideological inconsistency between being anti Christian churches but pro Islamism doesn't "dehumanize" leftists. Saying so is merely an attempt to shield leftists from well-deserved criticism.
