So you are basically just asking us to let you and other MAGA live in a fantasy world where you are not questioned on proven facts while at the same time you get to spread lies and demagogue anyone that challenges that fantasy?

No. You have a right to believe lies yes… but when you propagate lies in a way that spreads dangerous disinformation we do have the right to also push back. You want to live in a fantasy cult fine go do that somewhere other than here. There are plenty of places on the internet where it’s safe to talk about things that aren’t true.

All of these claimed that George Floyd just happened to OD while Chauvin was on top of him were heard and debated in his trial. we even debated it thoroughly here in the trial thread.

Derek Chauvin was given a fair trial with the opportunity to present a defense. Even far fetched defense like that George Floyd choked on car exhaust. The trial was conducted openly and he was found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. He was given the chance to appeal which have been rejected.

nobody in the jury or legal system wants the wrath that would come with exonerating Chauvin

he had no chance from the start

He had no chance because the evidence against him was overwhelming. There not only was the video there was testimony from others in MPD that Chauvin exceeded his authority. There was expert medical testimony countering arguments that Floyd died of an OD.

Further if the Justice system was so fixed even though there were major protests Yanez was found not guilty in the shooting of Philando Castile. There have been other LEO shooting of black suspects even since George Floyd where the LEO haven't even been charged.

Multiple prosecutors have the courage to charge a former president in the face of death threats, but no one has the courage to exonerate an innocent policeman?

It sounds like you have been greatly influenced by the powerful Tucker Carlson when he said, "Everyone understood perfectly well the consequences of an acquittal in this case. After nearly a year of burning, looting, and murder by BLM, that was never in doubt."

All the policemen who have been acquitted want a word with you and Tucker Carlson. His lawyers often remind you not to take him seriously, but I understand that he's like a drug, very addictive, wrong, and bad for you. You can't help but keep coming back for more.

Yes, that must be it. 12 jurors, all the prosecutors, and all of the witnesses, all somehow conspired to convict to avoid more riots.

    Great take.

I wish there was more security for the prisoners in prison. Yet when that kind of thing gets proposed conservatives accuse those of championing that cause of being soft on crime.

I suspect former law enforcement that break the law and get incarcerated are greater risk in prison. Then add to that the nature of his crime adds to that risk. Would solitary confinement be a solution? Don't know.

Maybe a prison for crooked cops and law enforcement only?

We spend enough on the system to get it dun.

Would you support prison reform that leads to more security and humane treatment of prisoners?

I suspect most taxpayers oppose increased spending for jails, plus you then run into NIMBY opposition. But maybe you can get support for special jails just for politicians, sex crime convicts, and maga insurrectionists. Though it might mean lots more jails...

Awful. Derek Chauvin didnt kill anybody — he followed the procedures taught to him. George Floyd died of a drug overdose. 8 drugs in his system. Chauvin is being sacrificed to advance liberal policy objectives and gain emotional control over low-info voters.

You beleive he died of a drug overdose at just the moment Chauvin was kneeling on his windpipe?

    Lol

He was on Floyd’s back not his windpipe. As instructed by the police — because it doesn’t choke people. That’s why they instructed its use. Floyd had eight drugs in his system and was saying he couldn’t breathe before he even went to the ground. He was lying.

Ever think to yourself why the media chose to promote this case with everything they had, over the thousands of murders where the races are reversed? You are being played. Sooner you realize it, the better. Emotional control is then lifted.
