PFF is all over the place. Stroud graded higher than we he threw for 280 yards 2tds and zero ints.
    78 grade is above average.

Everyone passed on him because of size, but he actually led the FBS in a lot of receiving categories.

how crazy is it that of the 2 undersized stars, we got the right one. Are we in the upside down? This is the Texans right?

He was drafted just about where he should have been, right? Glad the Texans were the ones that picked him.

Are you that’s where you had him ranked as well? I mean he didn’t go to a big name school, he is very small and not record breaking fast, so I see why he might go 9th, NFL likes a big body receiver. But he did lead the FBS in receiving yards and Touchdowns.. that’s nuts. With Clayton Tune.

I think rankings are pretty stupid, but I understand why a midget WR would be overlooked in the first 2+ rounds.

All I was saying is that he got drafted right around where he should have and I love that the Texans picked him, and I love that he's proving people wrong.

Is it safe to say he’s playing like a 1st round WR talent?

I would say so. He has had plenty of rookie mistakes, but his ability to separate and get open deep are Tier 1 WR type things.

He’s having a year you’d love from a first-round guy. But he didn’t go in the first round because of the concerns about his durability due to his size. He hasn’t really played long enough to answer those questions, and you’d really want a first-rounder to be good for years on end. His talent and skills are not and were not in doubt, though!

For a speedy little guy I'm glad he hasn't ended up hurt all the time like Will Fuller was. It's interesting how even a little guy like Bryce Young didn't become the injured most of the season big man Richardson.

I don't really understand the concerns about Dell's size as it relates to injuries. He's not a RB. There have been a ton of smaller WRs that have had long, productive careers. Tyreek Hill, Wes Welker, Steve Smith, TY Hilton, Julian Edelman, DeSean Jackson, etc.

Most of those guys have 20 or more pounds on their frames believe it or not. Even 10 pounds makes a difference, but Dell's been fine. I do cringe when he takes those hits that send him flying though. Gotta love how he gets the separation on the deep routes by his shifty moves and speed. That helps keep him from being gang tackled. I hate seeing him used as a running back, or on little screens. It's not worth the risk of him getting gang tackled. He's not some big guy like Andre Johnson who had 5 inches and 60 lbs more weight on him.

Any player can and will get injured in the collision sport of football. Dells size may make him more vulnerable to big hits, but also probably will have healthier knees and be less susceptible to soft tissue injuries than someone who is 6’4 220 (Nico)
