UTSA's Jeff Traylor has interviewed, I like him a lot and that seems to be a great fit. Also, today I learned that the A&M AD's name is Bjork.
I do not like UTSA. I do not like that guy's RED face. I do not CARE about EAST Texas and recruiting it (GROSS). I hope he continues to do well in D3 Football with UTSA though.
You defnitely don't want any part of guys like Earl Campbell, Adrian Peterson, Dez Bryant, and Patrick Mahomes!
To sum up: 1. Fire Jimbo because the offense is old-fashioned and he's a prick. 2. Have no succession plan in place. 3. Assume that since you're A&M, many coaches will want to be there. 4. Get turned down by a bunch of coaches in no small part because A&M is demanding they keep certain coaches on as they don't want to pay the severance and the players and recruits "like those guys." (Also because the AD has publicly said he will cut football support positions to bring down costs.) 5. Float ridiculous names to rebuild the assumption in #3. 6. Hire Stoops, a guy with even more of an antiquated offense than Jimbo, and fly him to CS. 7. When he lands, tell him "no thanks" and send him back to Kentucky. 8. Likely come back around to the interim HC who was Jimbo's defensive line coach or Elko, who was Jimbo's defensive coordinator, both sure-fire ways to fix the offensive issues. 9. Fire the AD, hire new AD, have AD hire new coach after the 2024 season. 10. Keep pretending that you're reloading instead of doing what is really needed, a rebuild. 11. ???? 12. Championship!
