This. Especially since they're exceeding expectations. For him to be a star with his height and frame he has a long way to go. I'm hoping Sengun will have a legit star to play with while he's young.

I think the likelihood is we let him get to RFA. That gives us time. Progress is not always linear. Let’s see where he is at in March.

You do not even have to watch......Him and Jabari have always played their best after All Star Break....

The problem is seasons are almost ending with March and April.

Basically you have to rely on FVV, Dillon and Sengün to carry you for 50 Games...that is insane.

There are interpersonal dynamics at play. If they give Alpi an extension but not Jalen he's going to feel understandably wounded by that.

I think we probably just end up extending them both.

Ahhh, sadly it will probably be the snowflake treatment.
So the youngster who was picked at #2 with no decent past of serious basketball gets yet another undeserved pass.

Sengun got the excuse of "he's just kid, give him time" here every year he's been a Rocket. For some reason our OTHER players get no time to develop, no patience or leeway. 10 games in the season I'll say Jalen is just a kids, he needs time

These things matter a lot to any NBA player. If you're not going to offer Jalen an extension, he should probably be traded, but they're not going to do that (nor should they). Also, when you use that word I immediately have a hard time taking you seriously, considering how many of the least serious, most-disingenuous people in the country love to throw it around.

I can't see them giving Jalen Green a max extension based upon his current level of play.

I'd let him hit RFA and if he's offered more than I'm comfortable paying, I let him go.

Sengun is much closer to earning a max extension than Jalen or Jabari.

True that..... this is how they shape up the future.......this team has too many pretenders they need real contenders but it is a good start with good players.

Something tells me he won’t break out on the court until he breaks out off the court.

he’s still an immature kid and you can see it in the interviews.

Oh, I am not one of those people. Come to think of it, I'm not even in your country.
I wasn't born over there, I don't live over there, nor do I plan on visiting anytime soon.
In short: I know what I'm saying; you go frown upon your "least serious, most-disingenuous" compatriots.

I don't have a problem with him off the court, he's not a clown or a trouble maker or anything of the sort and he works tirelessly on his game, it just hasn't paid off yet.

We have this year and next to make a decision on him, assuming he isn't traded before time expires.

Maxey didn’t get an extension so why should we care about Jalen’s feelings if he doesn’t?

Year 3 Jalen has got to be better than this.

    He shouldn't.

Everyone can see where we are.

    Well, almost everyone.

But the days of "Jalen Green is the core. Everyone else just needs to see how they fit it in." - those days are over, even if Jalen improves from here on out (which I hope).

I mean…not really? He’s not very good. This is who he is. He’ll have the occasional nice game but by and large, he’s an inefficient volume scorer prone to turnovers who doesn’t help in other areas of the game very much. That’s who he is.
