The October 7th attack was an act of counter-violence. It was a response to 75 years of genocide and colonization that Palestinians have been subjected to under the boot of Isreal and the West. It's no different than Nat Turner's Rebellion, John Brown's raid, the Haitain Revolution, etc. Those were all acts of counter-violence as a response to a violent action or system in which colonized people were subjected to. The same is true today. In addition, the Hamas angle that mainstream media and yall are putting out there is false. They aren't a terrorist group. They're one of many Palestinian resistance groups. Several other Palestinian resistance groups joined in with Hamas as well, which includes quite a few women. I started that off to say that there are some cringe azz comments in here. And since no-one will call you and others out on your bullshyt, allow me. I'm a part of several of those scary leftist organizations that you hinted at. We even get together to shoot guns and such from time to time. Sometimes it's for a simple range day, and other times it's to educate working class and disenfranchised communties on the proper use and safety of firearms. Just this past weekend we got together, along with a several of our Jewish buddies, to shoot various rifles at an outdoor range (plenty of AR-15s). Anyway - it sounds like I just turned on Fox News after reading through the comments in here. Jeezus fkin christ. It's disturbing to see so many of yall purposely conflating zionism with antisemitism. It's like when Conservatives refer to Liberals as leftists which doesn't make any sense. The anti-intellectual wave that's running rampant in this country is absolutely wild. Being anti-zionist is not antisemitism. Zionism is not Judaism nor is it Christianity. The people across the globe that are in the streets are standing up against the racist ideology of zionism and Israel's ongoing settler colonial project against Palestine. It's literally not that hard to understand ffs. I'm an active member of several Pan-African organizations and we regularly work alongside both Palestinian AND Jewish organizations whose goal is to dismantle zionism. We've done several teach-ins/political education events in recent weeks (for free) educating the public on colonialism, zionism, and the creation of modern day Israel and their 75 year quest to eradicate Palestine. Zionism is centered around settler colonialism and white supremacy which is what apartheid Israel has been utilizing ever since they left Europe to help create the nation state of Israel in and around 1948 after the Nakba. It's a repeat of what happened to the indigenous people of the Americas and other places when Europeans left Europe to colonize the globe - Manifest Destiny has a lot in common with zionism. All of this information is easily available if people would just turn off CNN, Fox News, and all of the other corporate owned mainstream media propaganda that's circulating 24/7. But don't take my word for it. I'm just the gun toting scary radical leftist that Fox News and everyone else keeps warning yall about. smh. A luta continua.
