I think Sengun has definitely grown this off-season. You couldn't really tell with some of the other players he played against but with Sabonis tonight he looked like he was pretty much eye to eye or more importantly, shoulder to shoulder with him. Anyone agree? He's playing bigger too. All-Star here he comes.
He’s for sure grown. He’s basically identical size as Sabonis who is 6’11. He has a longer wingspan around 7’2. He wasn’t Mark William height but didn’t look too much smaller who is one of the tallest guys in the league. Standing reach is always going to be lower because of shoulder height. He needs to keep developing strength. He’s got average NBA athleticism but above average coordination and fluidity. Only thing stopping him is a consistent shot from range. The defense is at minimum acceptable at this point
I was at the game Saturday night, sitting almost floor level and Alpe is basically the exact same height as Sabonis. When they were standing next to each other at tip off you couldn’t tell who was taller, if either was taller.
Maybe he looks slightly taller. It's not really that noticeable. He was already "good enough" in terms of his height anyway. The guy who actually looks taller to me is Jalen. Maybe it's just because I'm seeing him next to FVV now whose 6'0" list height seems generous, but I could swear he looks closer to 6'6" than 6'4".
I'm tired of this. Rockets need to make a cut out and plaster it over Toyota center so you can measure like they did with big Yao.
Cool! I was hoping my eyes weren't deceiving me. It's hard to tell for sure on the tv. Now, if only we could get another inch out of Jabari, Tari, Cam, Amen and Jalen. Rockets would have finally no longer be undersized.
