    Not bad. Where did this rumor come from? I guess it would appease those who are afraid that the club will only be marketed to a hispanic audience.

    The crowd varies from time to time, I went to watch the Mexico Vs. U.S. match and the crowd was not that bad. And then i went to watch the Everton Vs America game and the crowd was nice too, no fights and no traffic jams after the game. But then a friend of mine went to see Ecuador Vs. Mexico at Roberson stadium at U.ofH. and the crowds were really rowdy, it all depends were the games are played because the games i've been to at Reliant are O.K. for a soccer game. I wish we could get a team here in Houston but i hope the games are played at Reliant not at a crappy stadium were traffic jams are a drag.

    Robertson may not be the best stadium in Houston, or even the next best,, or even good - but the attendance at the average MLS game will look better in Robertson(until they can build a small soccer-specific venue like other MLS teams are building or have built) - than in the cavernous Reliant.

    I'm just seeing this now, but Giovanni (Gio for short) is a friend of mine. I need to give him a call and find out what is up. He's a BIG soccer guy - loves it.

    Interesting stuff.

    Donovan's contract is with Bayern and he doesn't want to play there ever again. He want's to go to england,but hopefully he'll stay in the states.
    Wasn't the Houston NASL team called the Hurricanes?
    That would be keeping with the destructive nature theme.

    It's time for him to go back to Europe. He isn't the same player as when he was with Leverkusen the first time. It's time for better competition to get him better prepared for WC 2006.

    All Houston pro soccer team names...

    Houston Alianza-LSSA (1988-91)
    Houston Dynamos(I)-USL (1984)
    Houston Dynamos(II)-LSSA (1987-90) Dynamos==International
    Houston Express-USL-I-League (1988-90)
    Houston Force-USL-D3Pro (1995) folded in mid-season and see Puerto Rico Islanders
    Houston Hotshots-WISL (1999-2001) +CISL (1994-97)
    Houston Hurricane-NASL (1978-80)
    Houston Hurricanes-USL-D3Pro (1996-2000)
    Houston International-LSSA (1991) see Houston Dynamos(II)
    Houston Stars-USA (1967) +NASL (1968)
    Houston Summit Soccer-MISL I (1978-80) Houston Summit Soccer==Baltimore Blast(I)
    w-Houston Tornados-W-League (1999- )
    Houston Toros-USL-PDL (2002- )

    I personnally like Dynamos or Hurricanes. It will most likely be something with a hispanic origin, however.
