If his stick of a body holds up Wembanyama is going to have the most impressive rookie season since Lebron. Kid is a cheat code.

I wonder if Sengun only fans still think Sengun is a better prospect

Damn man, this guy really is just as insane as he looked against any other competition. Most ready rookie since Lebron or even further back.

That Webangmama is better than Sengün was when he was 19.

Spurs are going to be VERY satisfying to beat down in the playoffs in a couple years... :)

He'll probably never speak Latvian either.

As for Ralph Sampson - man he was drafted 40 years ago. If you go back 40 years from when Sampson was drafted, there was no comparable as the NBA.....did not even exist yet.

And now. It's not an insult to Sengun either.

Not really because as good as Sengün was back then, Wemby alters Defenses a lot more at an age of a teenager.

Not really an insult.when you are listed as 7'5, you are supposed to dominate right away.

Now I think Wemby is slightly worse on Offense than Alpe....but only sligthly.

Wemby will be in the GOAT conversation in a couple of years. 19 freaking years old.

I'll admit I'm surprised he can translate this well, this fast. I'll admit I was wrong about cautioning the hype train. I thought he'd get pushed around a lot more. But if he can stay even remotely healthy, with today's rules, in a more finesse league? Looking terrifying as a now-long-suffering Rox fan.

It is not looking bad for French basketball.

Esp since he will be getting Calls and a friendly whistle that we could only pray for
The NBA has a strong incentive to make him a star . ..and they will

Wemby had a nice game. But don’t forget that Jabari had 38 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists against the Detroit Pistons.
