I'm tired of this excuse. Didn't we have it the same way in 2019 when were were mashing? Doesn't the other team have the same batters eye etc? I just find that very stupid and weak.

Stromm is stromming the D-Backs to the WS. His residual magic allowed us to win last year and break the record for bullpen ERA but it wore off this season.

I was thinking this as well. Also not guaranteed players you like will be available because more teams in the hunt for the playoffs. Like for example, they were rumored to be interested in Bellinger and maybe Stroman but Cubs decided not to sell. Also rumor was they had interest in a starter/relief pitcher from the Padres. People assumed it was Snell and Hader but day of deadline, they decided not to sell.

We could've had the D-Backs served up on a silver platter in the World Series. *sigh*

The games isn't over, but if they do win I'm not sure why you think that a team that beat the Brewers, Dodgers, and Phillies in consecutive series would be a push-over in the WS.

Why don't we "fix" our hitting coaches since the batters eye didn't affect the Rangers.

Or they fix the pitching… or just get more of it.

Can we just do an entire remodel and make it look exactly like Globe Life Field?

Biggest priority outside of a new manager is pitching. I said it prior to the season that Nathan Eovaldi should have been someone Houston should have signed. There are too many relying on McCullers coming back. If he does, he needs to go to pen. I do think rest will help this rotation for sure.

I would love to see the team land a player like Soler to play LF. I hope Chas is the guy to play CF. Yordan needs to be the primary DH. He needs to be bubble wrapped. Altuve and Yordan are too important to this team. The team needs to make a decision with Meyers.

I hope Dana Brown is able to make moves. He is going to have a hard time because money and limited resources for trades. As much as I am upset how things played out, I'm optimistic that the 2024 team will be better than the 2023 team.

Maybe we should get a manager with a psychology degree that has a World Series ring?

    There is no money

Fangraphs estimates payroll is at $231.3M, only $5.7M below the CBT

Cots Contracts estimates $235.2M, only $1.8M below.

Framber, Tucker, Yordan, Altuve, and Bregman make over $4M and have enough value to really be moved. Less than that doesn't really savevenough to matter.

I can't see any of them getting traded and I can't see the team going over the CBT unless it's an extension for a current player.

Face it: Lance McCullers and Jose Abreu back healthy are this offseason's additions.

I would be shocked if the Astros bring in a starting pitcher.

Maybe a cheap bullpen arm or 2 but they are rolling with the starters they have.

Phillies desperately swinging wildly and trying too hard to a hero just like the Astros in game 5 and 6. Is it a crumbling under the intense pressure of a home-field crowd thing?
