if the pitcher's execution sucks as much as it has been I guess Diaz changes that....Oh wait your logic is like blaming the coach for calling a play but you missed the shot badly. But coach you called the play....
Big Poppy calling the host Woody from Toy Story after he gave him the cowboy hat was pretty freaking awesome. <edit> and so was Jeter’s refusal to wear it, saying New Yorkers don’t wear those.
The point is... if the pitch calling doesn't make a different with Maldy, why not put in a catcher with better track record this year in throwing out runners, framing pitches, blocking balls in the dirt that can also hit!?!?
no that's not the point. Valdez's mistakes have been his horrendous pitching execution that he himself needs to correct. not to mention is mental instability and boy those fielding displays
I am over this argument about Maldy; already tired of it through the season. At this point IDGAF, and the only thing that matters is moving ahead with what we got. We already know Maldy is catching, so just accept it and focus on winning the game. I'll just think about next season, when this season ends. Fck it and win. I want another damn WS, I want a Texans playoff, and I want the fcking Rockets to tell the talking heads to up theirs and make the play-in. Fck everybody. Also, for all that's right...go UH!
Yeah... maybe Framber would be less frazzled if his curveballs in the dirt are actually blocked, and the runners can get gunned down.
yeah those are totally the biggest issues that Diaz is going to fix. so simple and not the fact that teams have been murdering his balls all over the field
And maybe it is also more comfortable when the offense scores runs to provide Framber some peace of mind that he doesn't have to be so 'tight' that he gives up meatballs that go over the Crawford boxes.
In the NBA, a series doesn't start until the road team wins. In baseball, I think the series doesn't start until an elimination game is involved.
