To me it’s about baseball. A close friend of mine is a sports writer and sports radio host in DFW. I texted him the other day to say I’d love to talk trash but honestly baseball playoffs are a crapshoot. The best team I’ve seen in a minute was the 2023 Braves who won exactly one playoff game before it was exit stage right. It’s the sport where, more often than other sports, the best team doesn’t always win. It’s who is hot over a small sample size after playing 162 games. It’s crazy honestly

If only Framber could've had a 10.00 ERA day instead of 14.00. If only Framber could've committed one error instead of two. Shucks
He was just an ace a year ago. Will that framber appear again remains to be seen but never will be is incorrect
Huh? We’ve had a team come back 3-0… not that long ago. Teams have come back. Or at the very least get back in the series where it goes the distance. 2004 Astros came back from 0-2 to take it to 7 games. 2017 Yankees came back from being down 0-2 to up 3-2. 2019 Astros the same in the WS.
Honestly we are all playing for second place anyway. The Phillies are winning it all. It's their time. They've got last year's team with a much better Nola, add in a Suarez who looks untouchable, and then Castellanos looking like he did 2 years ago and Stott also vastly improved. Even Schwarber. Much better lineup, and a much better starting rotation. Only the bullpen can lose this championship.
Framber has filthy stuff. He was one of the best pitchers in MLB last year, and probably the best in the postseason. You don’t give up on that. He needs a new sports psychologist, or more sessions, or both. He has reverted to old Framber over the 2nd half of this year. It’s a fixable problem, though. His price tag has probably taken a major hit, and I’d still love to see him extended. It’s a game of adjustments and it seems like Framber made a few poor ones. Throwing higher velo on the fastballs seems to hurt him more than help. And as Smoltz said, adding the cutter might have messed up his sinker. I have full confidence he can be back to what we expect over the offseason. My confidence for another postseason start is not so high, though…lol
I am just going on what I thought I heard them say on the broadcast tonight. I might be wrong. <edit> they may have been talking about Astros history. Sorry to confuse!
Luckily we had Maldy to keep Framber calm and not make any more errors or give up any more long balls.
