This is all in range of what he has been planning. I'm not saying it's going to be super grand and everything is going to turn out awesome. Everyone has been dooming and grooming the platform the moment he brought about the idea of purchasing it. Twitter was a dead platform walking and it was inevitable it was going to be acquired in some form or fashion.

Doesn't know how to shoot a rifle, doesn't know how to wear a hat. Was he wearing white mudboots too?

    How very Texan.

Israel-Hamas Conflict Was a Test for Musk’s X, and It Failed

Posts about the attack in Israel have led to confusion, misinformation and conflict on Elon Musk’s X, exposing how his acquisition and policy changes have transformed the social media site into an unreliable resource during a time of crisis

    S
ince Musk acquired the platform, over the past year, the company loosened its platform’s rules, cut trust-and-safety employees after previously saying it would expand the team, reinstated once-banned accounts and allowed people to pay for a checkmark on the social network. Though falsehoods about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict have spread on social media platforms across the internet, the researchers said the effect on X stood out as false posts became unavoidable.

    “It's now almost impossible to tell what's a fact, what's a rumor, what's a conspiracy theory, and what's trolling,”
“Musk's changes haven't just made X useless during a time of crisis. They've made it actively worse."

This is the issue with social media and the intent to have free speech reign, there is so much misinformation out there you don't know what's true and what's not true. So many people blatantly lie to push their narrative and they don't care if they hurt anyone in the process, we see that on the daily with maga BS. I wish there was a "Fact Check" that would accompany falsehoods, but I am not sure that's possible..........and so much misinformation looks legit, the POS who do this have refined their game. In this "gotcha" world we have created, real people can get hurt and lives can be destroyed by someone out there telling lies and on top of that you have foreign governments trying to influence elections and its just that much worse. I dont do social media and this is one of the reasons

Ikr? It's like you actually have to dyor and actually dig into the material subject before one can claim they are a subject matter expert.
Long gone are the days when you can read an ad-overloaded news article from your favorite echo chamber and go around in a convincing manner you're an authoritarian on the subject.

But Elon said twitter is at an all time best?

X (formerly Twitter) was the sole social media platform to exhibit a significant decline in YoY user growth, down 9% YoY in Aug’23 as it grappled with user dissatisfaction over the rebranding and flagrant content in the post-acquisition era. X also saw a material decline in total hours engaged with the metric falling 13% YoY in Aug’23
