I'm not sure why Mitch doesn't retire already? His health should come first and the American people deserve competent individuals to serve.

Not a fan of the turtle, and do agree that there should be an age limit or term limits to correct for lazy/ignorant voters, but... at this point in time, I think mcconnell is better than anyone the republicants in the senate would likely replace him with.

I would agree, he is a built-in safety net for the craziness. I don't like his politics but the man is a horse trader and knows when to stand up to some of the young and up and comers but I do think he needs to retire, If he could hand pick his replacement, I bet it would be a person cut from the same cloth but that's now how it works so were dammed if we and dammed if we dont. I do feel bad for him (politics aside) and would hate to see anything happen to the man....................and boy, some of the memes I`ve seen on here are downright offensive and so funny at the same time

His no. 2, John Thune, is not a Trumpster and would be the best choice. He has already endorsed Tim Scott for President.

The guy's health does actually appear to be going downhill though, similar to Dianne Feistein. These individuals need to retire. I don't understand why we have to wait till the end of their term. I know experience is a huge factor, which I do believe is important, but man when it seems like these individuals are having health issues that may make it difficult to perform their duties, I really don't have an idea why we are continuing to push them along.

This isn't some fabricated BS like the "Sleepy Joe" crap. These individuals do appear to have legitimate health reasons that they no longer can fully perform the duties of office.

    I don't know, I don't like it. It's frustrating.

I don’t think that he has cognitively declined - it may be right around the corner, but he has been one of the sharpest Republicans. Even if I really don’t agree with his political views, I have always respected his intellect and effectiveness.
