Be very careful about farm subsidies. Maybe it's not the greatest market paradigm we've ever come up with, but tinkering with it has the potential to cause market havoc, trigger bankruptcies, and threaten food supply. Whatever changes we make, we should proceed with a lot of deliberation and give the industry time to adapt.

Trump's increase is because of Covid. And Biden managed to further increase the total despite the drawback from the Covid shock. Not that I'm faulting him for it.

I assumed he was trolling or he could have started a thread about wasteful spending in general instead of trying to lay blame on the current administration's "unlawful" expansion of food stamps.
