the way veteran players get to just pick which teams they play for is just bad juju for the league (example: lillard saying he will only play for MIA).
the NBPA has their work cut out for them when Harden pulls this stuff publicly...

always cracks me up that people equate 'freedom of speech' with 'say what u want wo any ramifications' - lol!

folks can say whatever they want - and they're not gonna get thrown in jail... but that doesnt mean that their words do not come without consequences... lol

Definitely don't think it undoes what he did for us, or what Daryl did for us. You mentioned what have they done for us besides help us be successful, that exit left a bad taste, but it was a temporary feeling. Harden will be someone we look back on as one of the Houston greats. I think most people will eventually get over it, it is crazy to see how much respect T-Mac gets on social media now from people that likely never saw him play. Harden will get even more praise in a few years after he retires ring or no ring. Without a ring he will likely be above chuck and CP3 for the best player to not win.

Harden should have enough time to play in a charity game.

He is probably not wrong. That being said, you can't win with Milkhair as coach either.

As said Milkhair was a great player but he was just someone who tried coaching as a semi job or hobby.

Folks were harsh on him without knowing what he was.

    Harden is a professional.

Would not be here if not showered with millions....if he were a layman I think that would have spared us at least 12-13 years of posting threads.

seems to me like this is something personal between the 2 lovers. no need to take their relationship out to public like that. they need to see a shrink or maybe go on a week vacation to tanzania together or something to find themselves.

    Professional drama queen!

It started in Houston, and has gotten old with his constant trade requests, bickering, primadonna attitude, and all the drama surrounding it.

james harden is good for marketing and this 'stardom' vibe to catch fans with fancy plays and numbers. but anyone who ever played competitive basketball knows mchale is 100% right. he might not have been best coach but he is a ****ing champion lmao and clearly understands basketball.translating it into management of 12 men group is not auto, but from the basketball knowledge perspective dude is 100% spot on about Harden. And a lot of us knew that when he was in his prime here too

He has been unprofessional with the way he has handled his trade requests from Houston to BKN, to Philly, to wanting out now. He has at times prioritized partying during the season, but there was a solid stretch of a decade from being drafted to 2020, where he really did treat it like a job that he was constantly trying to get better at. He actually did really take care of his body, he was typically in shape playing 38-40 mins a night and almost never missed games, he was one of the most durable superstars in the game for nearly a decade, you can't do that unless you are a professional athlete that takes care of yourself. Every off season he was adding something new, seeking out new training. He has never gotten arrested, hes never been investigated for things off the court, he's never said anything on social media to lose sponsors as many other do.

In NBA player terms, he carried himself well for the most part. The stuff going on now is the result of a decade long relationship w Morey that has soured, I think if you do everything you are supposed to for your whole life and still can't get that ring, you start to lose your composure a little bit, you start to desperately find a place you can win.
