He is right that the majority turn into nobodies. Musgrove, Hader, Houser, Sandoval, Rogers, Rojas, Laureano, Teoscar, Stassi, Kemp, Siri, Straw, and De La Cruz all ended up providing at least some value to the other team (i.e., not nobodies). The big thing is that a team doesn't want to make the Alvarez trade.
Imagine Brown has deals in place but can't move forward because he's waiting for Crane/Mets. As he waits the deals he had falls apart because other teams doesn't want to wait so they make a trade with another team. Verlander trade falls apart. Astros stand pat. Brown gets the blame lol
