Altuve has strained his oblique twice and broken his wrist once this season, Yordan has missed a ton of time with this strained oblique, plus he has bionic knees and hands that hurt every couple weeks for no explainable reason....if Dusty or the org at large want to slow roll their return while we keep winning games it really doesn't bother me. Plus add in the context that every time Brantley seems on the mend he regresses. They are playing the long game without sacrificing the short game too much. I am ok with this I just want our guys to be healthy for the stretch run.

Part of the reason I would start Meyers 2/3 of the time is that Julks doesn't hit RHP much better.

If neither are good, at least go with defense.

The same. I expect Meyers to hit better than he has lately.

That said, Julks is making himself interesting. He's had a little bad luck regarding batted balls lately, but he's been running a K% around 20% and a BB% around 10% for a couple of months.

I'd be more willing to trade Meyers if I thought the Astros could get what I think is fair value for him.

I think either Julks or Meyers must be traded. They are just too similar. It's redundant to have them both on the roster but there simply are not 13 MLB calibur/ready position players currently in the organization

The muscles are maybe a thing, but you can't blame somebody for breaking a bone. It happens.

Turns out, it really was just a weird Dusty Baker thing. Altuve and Yordan already told the team they were 100%, trainers confirmed, they were just waiting on Dusty to allow them to play

You see this confirmed somewhere? It's not a surprise to me but it is so bizarre even if it's sort of par for the course.

Dana Brown said today "Dusty has a policy. When a player says he's ready, he gives them an extra day."

Yordan is a hell of a teammate and a hell of a ball player.

I mean, it’s dusty so it’s probably not even in the top 10 dumb things he’s said.

Sup with all of Bergman's homers being two hand follow through on his swings? Is that a new permanent thing to get him to more power?

Not a good out of town scoreboard last night for the "buyers" in the trade market.
