Great to have Altuve and Yordan back. As far as trying to continue to figure out what's behind Dusty's logic with batting orders? It's just a waste of time imo at this point. Just glad the offense is healthy and hope the pitching is close to getting some support as well.
It’s fairly obvious why Pena is hitting 2nd. Dusty is trying to get Peña a ton of protection by having the big boppers hit behind him. In that respect it makes sense. However, in practice I don’t think it will make much of a difference. There is something fundamentally wrong with his swing. I’m not a hitting coach, but he doesn’t look like he is staying back, staying balanced. He looks like he is about to completely fall over on anything outside. One of the worst sophomore slumps in recent memory. He has to adjust to the outside slider.
Maybe Dusty has completely embraced analytics and is going with whatever some computer algorithm spits out? It’s possible the analytics team hands him an optimal lineup everyday and he bases his lineup off that. I mean, who knows. This would explain why there has been seemingly so many more drastic day to day lineup changes this season.
Just be happy with one non-asterisk championship... and don't care about winning more. Just be happy to have NFL again... and don't be negative if they suck. Forget sports. Just be happy to be alive.... and don't be negative about anything.
