That block and dunk on Ivey was Ariza esque with how quickly he closed out and used his length then kept the ball from going out and still beat Ivey down the court was something else. Hell of a play.

Agree that another move needs to be made, because right now between the 2-3 positions you have Jalen, Brooks, KPJ, Tate, Eason, Cam, Amen (know he's a point, but imagine there will be line ups when he and FVV are on the floor at same time)

Say you send Cam to RGV, and Amen backs up FVV exclusively (doubt it) that still leaves you finding minutes for Tate, Eason, and KPJ. Maybe one of either Tari or Tate does mostly backup 4 minutes.

Rockets should move one to find a back up big. We have nice size at wings, but could use more front court depth.

To be honest, I would rather trade Brooks, doubt anyone wants him at that price.

Porter is young enough to stick around another 2 years. Could get rid of him then.

    His contract is well structured.

This is why we didn't need Brooks at all.

We just don't really know who he is/can be without seeing him properly coached.

A lot of small ball line ups where guys like Tari might get some spot minutes at the 4 along with spot minutes at the 2 but most minutes at the sf position. Tari will be the primary back up to Brooks probably so that will get around 17-20 minutes, probably 5 minutes at the 4 and another 5 at the 2. Guys like Green can get spot minutes at the and sf position. KPJ will get spot minutes at sf, sg and pg to combine for near starter minutes. Amen will also be playing spot minutes between 1-3 and be the primary back up to FVV. Bari will play positions 5 through 3. Sengun will play 5 and sometimes 4.

Paying Tari, Alperen, and Cam less than $10M this year is pretty slick.

I hate that Brooks is going to take playtime away from him.

Nah I don't think you are in the minority for giving KPJ a chance to show what he can do in a structured system.
You would be in the minority if you said you still want to continue the KPJ primary pg experiment. That's what people really don't want with KPJ. Most understand he has genuine scoring talent.

Keeping the quintet (JGreen/Alp/Bari/Tari/23' Pick-Amen) will bring the championship to Houston, 2026-onwards.

Alp&Tari will be best players but I will be more than happy if the remaining trio catch or be better than them.

Eventually we will all be Guntarians. Resistance is futile.
