    31 games.

The car will be driven by F V V 30+ minutes and
Amen around 18 minutes. Amen will make mistakes
and VanVleet is not the player people think he is.

    F V V...........Amen
    Jalen G.......KPj
    Dillon..........Tate / Whitmore
    Jabari.........Tari Eason / Jeff Green
    Sengun.......Landale
    ------------------------
Don't believe the Fluff-Up the media is feeding you.

    From Reddit:
"Tell the Rockets fan something about Fred VanVleet
that the media members can't "

    [ pskill43 ]
He is actually pretty slow despite being short. He can't guard fast
guards. Constantly gets cooked by Maxey when he plays.

He can't finish under the basket. Get ready (for) him driving into
the paint and does a circus layup just to get blocked from behind.

He loves taking Hero shots. Get ready for him to launch a 30 footer
when down 2 pts and with 15 seconds on the clock.

    [ Huge-Split6250 ]
There's no way he is 6'1"

    [ dgr8one ]
The Houston beat writers will be eating out of his hands. He's a
    media darling.

    [ myrapties ]
He can be cold for 3 quarters and will still keep chucking Hero Ball
3's late in the 4th quarter. Then in post game interviews he'll say
that everyone needs to be accountable.

    [ fantaLoL ]
You're going to get a lot of mixed reviews here, and they are largely
going to be counter to what you hear in the media. Fred always
made himself very available to members of the media and would
always be "honest" with them, so they have a sort of skewed vision
of who he is. Fred is well loved for the time he spent with a smaller
role (I think), and honestly all this leadership and culture setting he

gets credit for is really just the remnants of the Lowry era ( imo).

    [ Medical_Water_7890 ]
He is a iso chucker who can't drive. When his shot is dropping he is
great, when it isn't he shouldn't be on the floor.

    [ Proof_Citron8584 ]
Well he shoots a lot & the most annoying part of his game is the
fact that he sometimes holds the ball for like 20 seconds draining
the shot clock and then pulling up for a deep 3. In my opinion I don't
mind him gone because he took a lot of shots from the younger
    guys
and I feel like players like Scottie and Gary can really
benefit from getting more touches without him.

    [ hyperspud ]
He is not the culture leader he is sold as by the media.

What he will be however is the coach's pet/snitch for Ime
Udoka similar to the role he was for Nurse.

That said he will not be able to walk on Ime as he was able to walk on Nurse.

He has enough production to maintain some degree of
authority, but his personality will not endear him to many
friends on the team in a way Lowry or Butler would, he has
a serious case of main character syndrome.

He is ball dominant to the degree a Lillard is, without being
nearly as skilled offensively as Lillard.

He has lost more than a few steps on defense, and while
he can secure steals at unexpected times, his on ball
defense has suffered severely with his knee injuries
and so has his speed on offense.

His media tour criticizing the entire team, while taking
absolutely no responsibility for the negative culture on the
team was a major turning point
& I would not be surprised
if he does this again in the next two years more than once.

    [ extension_pay_1572 ]
Not a bad shooter, heavy hands to get some steals on defense.
His decision making can be questionable. His style/brain is of
a shooting guard, so yeah a bit of a chucker occasionally.
Because he is short we were pretending he was our PG.
But a few years ago, before 2020 or 2021, he knew his role
and made better decisions, maybe in a new environment he can
    fit better.

His bank account is gigantic as he is ideal as super sub 6th
    man (Apache:
KPj all over again?) making about 20 to 25 million
if you pay more or hope the hype, role, and money will equal superb
top performance on the court, good luck, LoL

The signing of VanVleet and Dillon delays our progress....not expedite it
    That and lack of shooting.

30 wins, which is an improvement. I don't see where they can make gains in the west. If Wemby is who we think he is, then that gives us Portland and who else worse than the Rockets?

Im giving the devils advocate side.....you probably dont have
a problem with the media only pushing the fluff in
order to protect VanVleet or shine him in a positive light.

Anyone is free to go look themselves.

One will note that even the biggest fans of VanVleet were not arguing
the ball dominant, chucker, poor driver, usually blocked from
    behind comments.

Also throwing his teammates under the bus in order to make himself look better.
You can turn and twist it any way you want.

Clippers can implode too. lakers will be. As if LBJ and AD combine to miss 100 games which they very well could. Minny is an Edwards injury away from things looking grim for them. Also should be better than Det, Indiana, Charlotte & Washington. Could be better than Orlando, Toronto, Chicago. Nets could suck out loud. Hawks and Knicks are no great shakes. this team could win 44 games if everything breaks right.

Last season you predicted play in game didn’t you? How can you predict worse this season when we’re going from kpj to fvv? That makes no sense.

Cool link (!) Does the wisdom of the crowd work as well at predicting, I wonder.

Why are we doing all these polls now when the roster possibly isn't even finished and we still have salary space available?
    This is silly.

So that people like @Bobbythegreat can make ridiculously confident assertions despite massive uncertainty and their very limited knowledge of internal factors, then when of course they are wrong, they can say “ah, but the roster changed.”

    81. There is always a schedule loss in there somewhere.

Because there will be rebellion among the players amongst themselves.

KPj put up the same numbers as VanVleet last season.

Every criticism I heard of KPj is what I heard of VanVleet last year.

VanVleet says he is an elitist at basketball
(pretty much everyone is beneath him) and rubbed his
teammates wrong last season.....F V V called his young teammates
babies. Inexperienced, that he earned his stripes but they haven't.
What do you think he is going to do in Houston with Jalen Green,
Jabari, KPj, Tari, Amen, Cam Whitmore?

I expected better shooting from Green, KPj, Tate, Sengun, Jabari, Tari,
last season with an inside presence of PnR with Favors and WCS as roll
men. Neither stepped up or showed up. Willie Cauly-Stein never recaptured
his 19/20 form. Sengun was always an hour and a day late in rolling.

Basically the team has no outside shooting and VanVleet will run
his mouth and players like KPj, Jabari, Green will say "F" you.

The team will be fractured in two.

    Team VanVleet....vs...Team KPj
    VanVleet..........................KPj
Dillon Brooks..................Jabari (will challenge FVV like Scottie Barnes did)
    Landale..........................Jalen Green
    Sengun...........................Tari
........................................Amen (AAU-like & against FVV slow down style)
........................................Cam Whitmore (AAU-like & against slow down style)
    ........................Tate
    ...................Jeff Green

Ime can lay down the law, but players will freeze each other out.
Only hope will be putting a muzzle on that dawg (VanVleet).

Ime will have to silence VanVleet and work his magic
sweet talking the young core into not beating the hell
    out of VanVleet.

Good luck keeping VanVleet from going to the media and
not running his mouth on how good he is and how bad
his teammates are. Losses will be all their fault and
wins are because of him. He thinks he is Lillard, but
    not Lillard. Snitches get stitches
