We absolutely will be better. Just a matter of how much and if it will be a difference maker to move this franchise in the right direction. Despite what you think of the trades (I hate the value we got but understand the moves), swapping Garuba, JayGup, Tyty and KJ for FVV, Dillon Brooks, Uncle Jeff and Jock Landale is a CLEAR upgrade on where they are currently at talent wise. Will Garuba be an all NBA defensive player? Will Tyty be CP3? Will JayGup be the Jrue Holiday we all wanted them to be? Maybe. Maybe not. But the talent in vs the talent out was a net gain. Now again, how you feel about the value we got on those trades, or how the Brook Lopez situation played out, I can understand why people may not be happy. BUT this team is a lot better than it was last week.
I’m ever hopeful, but I’m unsure whether there’s enough talent to reach the play-in. I’d like to win half our games. Can this group get us there?
Does better mean contender ? I see us as a bubble team / first round exit. Is that really better than tanking ?
Harden is a honeybun bum - especially playoff time, he would rather be out partying and clubbing than commit. No heart, no passion - definitely not Kobe or MJ. If he shaved that beard - he would look like a chipmunk.
After tanking for 3 years? Yeah. I think it is. Especially after watching what Miami did with their squad. I'm also against tanking this year because 1, OKC own our pick and 2. On the off chance we do get out pick back (top 4 protected) im not really high on any of the top prospects (which I know can change). The revenue and hopefully the winning culture is much better for the franchise than what has happened the last 3 years - even if I do love that we've walked away with Jalen, Bari, Sengun, Amen, Tari and Cam.
