KPJ plus a ton of picks for Jaylen Brown would work if we had 14M, right? Best case scenario here...

Would take another team of course.

We appear to be the laughingstock of the NBA fan world today for the Dillon Brooks signing.

NBA fans couldn't believe Dillon Brooks landed a 4-year, $80 million contract with the Rockets

    https://ftw.usatoday.com/lists/dillon-brooks-rocket-massive-contract-fan-reactions-nba-free-agency

In what might be the most bizarre signing of 2023’s NBA free agency so far, former Memphis Grizzlies guard Dillon Brooks has landed a massive new deal.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported late Saturday that Brooks had signed a 4-year, $80 million dollar contract with the Houston Rockets. The deal reportedly comes through a sign-and-trade with Memphis, per Wojnarowski.

That’s the kind of money typically reserved for elite talent in free agency. While Brooks is a solid player and staunch defender, many NBA fans (well, those who had access to Twitter to see this news) could not believe that the former Grizzlies guard had landed such a payday.

Our Mike D. Sykes strongly questioned what the Rockets had been doing in free agency so far before the Brooks deal was reported, and we’re guessing this astronomical contract won’t change any minds on Houston’s decisions.

If Nets are involved maybe Bridges plus picks to Boston, KPJ plus the Nets own picks back to them, Brown to Houston

Just spitballing for best case scenario

Trading KMJ for nothing seems suspicious

Has there actually been rumors of Brown or is this just pie in the sky wishful thinking?

Soooo can I put in my pre-order for my Mills and Landale jerseys yet or?

You can’t dangle the goat of Aussie basketball like that in front of us Aussie Rockets fans Stone.

Don’t go breaking my heart Stone.

(side note Patty Mills always kills it on my Rockets 2k seasons, so I can’t see why we wouldn’t keep him)

If you're talking about my post it's very random. Just the Ime to Jaylen Brown connection they had. Brown LOVED Ime and wants more of an offensive role.

I care. Stone would be an absolute idiot to give that contract to Brooks. The "basketball world" would laugh at the Rockets organization. I don't care about that nearly as much as I care about Stone stupidly signing Brooks to that ridiculous amount or to any contract. In my humble opinion.

    Holy shizzlenit.

Half the posters here will still be carrying pitchforks for Stone.
    You ain't bullsh**tin'.
As if Stone was going to stand atop a cliff and part the Red Sea. Well, the Gulf of Mexico, anyway.

    Yes. Just connecting dots.

The Rockets overpaid to dump Tyty and Garuba. That deal makes no sense in isolation.

Then we find out it’s getting roped into the Dillon Brooks SnT to make salary matching work.

in a separate deal, Capela gets dealt to Houston for Tate, but the real compensation was from the Tyty/Garuba deal.

I'd rather trade KMJ for nothing than have Harden here. No.
