FVV didn’t get a third year it is a team option, which turns all the hand wringing on its ear. Not my favorite vet, but I’m warming to it, just for the no “kpj” as a pg aspect. We will see on Brooks. Hate that its 4 years, but 20m seems to be the new 10m in this league.
I've come to terms now with all the moves. Disappointed we didn't land Brook. Disappointed we paid that much for Brooks. Otherwise let's see what 23/24 plays like. Should at least be more watchable than the last few years.
Genuinely, why? What did we lose? We have the same core and other than Harden who else could we have gotten on the open market?
OP I feel u right now. Thinking of canceling my summer league trip. Hard to get excited about our roster. I’m excited about our rookies but I feel like everything about our org is bad right now.
I hope you change you mind down the road. You're always welcomed back by me, anyway. I'm not going anywhere, even if I think Stone is a freakin' idiot and Brooks doesn't deserve to wear our uniform.
Look if you survived Chuck Hayes and Kevin Martin leading the team, you can survive this. At least there is still some chance ONE of Green/Jabari/Amen/Sengun turns out to be a star. Sport is just entertainment, you can still have plenty of fun supporting the Rockets while trashing the team lol Look it's OBJECTIVELY FUNNY we turned from one of the youngest teams full of potential and flexibility into the most overpaid mid-team in 24 hours.
I think people are disappointed in losing potential and bringing in some not particularly interesting and probably overpaid veterans in their place. I think a lot of people enjoyed watching the young players develop, they grew attached to them, and feel like those guys were maybe dumped too soon and for too little return, especially considering the coaching they received. For this current roster to be the end result of the last three years is kind of underwhelming. I mean, yeah, they are no doubt going to be a better team this year, but Stone cut the head off the snake today. I don't think a lot of people were ready for that.
It is a shame those guys didn’t get to experience Udoka’s coaching. True. Brooks’ contract is the only one I’m uncomfortable with. 4 years guaranteed is steep, waiting to see how it’s structured. Makes a lot more sense if it declines each year
What?? You're quitting because scrubs like Garuba are gone? Wow. Talent from recent drafts currently on our roster 2021 draft picks 2 and 16 2022 draft picks 3 and 17 2023 draft picks 4 and 20 If you want to teach these guys to play, you need VETERANS. Garuba, Martin, Christopher, TyTy are not future all stars, nor will they teach those 6 young guys to play pro-ball. If we win 35 games and get pick 14, it means our young core has ALSO developed
