he'll be 37 next month and is little more than a sideline cheerleader at this point. meanwhile we still have no rim protector

Average age of this team skyrocketed by a decade in the last couple days

Yup, they're adding role players (although, FVV is kind of a super role player) as if the young players are the up and coming stars (which they are) as opposed to bringing in someone like Harden or Irving to "save" the young guys

Good depth. Interesting addition to the front — good connector, and will be good for Jabari.

    Sengun/Landale
    Bari/Green/Eason
    Brooks/(Eason)/Whitmore
    Green/Mills
    FVV/Thompson

KPJ and Tate don’t feel like they fit. Could use a big wing shooter — KPJ could actually be really good in that role if he’d accept it. The roster has good athleticism, but not really any bigs who add pressure vertically, or a rim protector. Still, some good defenders at the forward spots, and some upside in the backcourt with FVV and Thompson.

ETA: We basically gave away TyTy and Garuba and the 2nd rounders to make this happen.

Maybe, maybe not. What we do know is he was playing meaningful minutes for a team that just won a title.

Can you imagine getting 6 million dollars to basically just travel with the team and be a mentor? Must be nice. Good for him!

Feeling like Tate is the next one to go. KPJ is probably being moved off playing point guard and if he's not cool with that then he's probably packing his bags to play for another team.

    Eason - 22
    Green - 21
    Sengun - 20
    Smith - 20
    Amen - 20
    Whitmore - 18
    KPJ - 23

Rockets are still very young guys. Now those young 20 year olds will get a chance to play in winning situations in such a way that allows them to directly contribute to it in a big way

Lol I agree. But to look on the bright side (since the money had to be spent anyway) the Rockets got two top 5 picks (Cam included) along with FVV and Brooks without having to give up any assets. If one of the teams below #20 in the draft accepted one of the Rockets deals they probably would have had to give up KM, Garuba and/or others plus a future pick just to draft Cam. The only player gone that really hurt is KM, but someone can fill those shoes. Overall the Rockets are a much better team than last season.

this will be like his 11th different team over the past decade. definitely not the monogamous type
