And that’s why you’re not a general manager of a professional sports team bruh, you can’t even manage to figure out how to edit your double post
Pffft. Clutchfan has been lagging, double post happens. Doesn't change the fact that we overpaid for fvv
who cares? Is it your money? Does the salary cap numbers matter that much to you? What should we have done? Monte morris ? Pat bev?
Today was an epic fail by Stone. Our only hope is if we get a top 4 pick in the lottery and don't have to convey the pick to OKC.
Jackson Gatlin @JTGatlin · 4m #Rockets offseason so far: In- Fred VanVleet 3 years/$130M Dillon Brooks 4 years/$80M Jock Landale 4 years/$32M (only first year guaranteed) Patty Mills from Nets Draft rights to Alpha Kaba Sent Out- TyTy Washington Usman Garuba '28 HOU 2nd ‘25 MIN 2nd $1.1M Cash
Honestly I’m not understanding all the hate. Our team just got massively better. Yeah they’re not superstars but we’ve entered the playoffs barring no injury. Plus OKC has our first rounder next year so we HAD to get better somehow. Also don’t forget Jalen, Sengun, Jabari, and Tari are still our core and will only get better. Some of y’all need to realize there wasn’t one clear solution this off-season to make us contenders. We’re just getting started.
And if you were in charge, you would do what exactly? I’d love to hear your strategy to just fleece the rest of the league with his the best contract structures and decision making. Lol posts like these are pure comedy.
Don’t blame Stone. All he does is answer the phone and hands it to a Patrick. He’s basically a receptionist.
FVV should help, but Dillon Brooks is the new Detroit Pistons Josh Smith. Even for everyone hyped up to see Green or KPJ benched, note that Brooks had worse advanced stats than any of our young guys, and he's many years older. He'll start every game next year too, the FO has to make their 80 million dollar baby look good, while feeding him 18 shots a game at the expense of Jalen, KPJ, Bari, Tari, Sengun, Amen, and especially Whitmore.
I strongly dislike the Dillon Brooks deal for multiple reasons, but if you have a team of young, impressionable players that need to learn to play the right way and within a structured system, bringing in James Harden of all people to teach them how to be professionals is not what you do. VanVleet is a better fit at point guard for what this team needs.
For all of Harden's lows, he's never been told to never come back to a team under any circumstances. I'd take Harden at 4-160 over Brooks at 4-80.
Try reading the post you quoted again. I said that VanVleet is a better fit from a culture perspective for this Rockets’ team. That’s who the Rockets signed in lieu of Harden. I would never have given Dillon Brooks this contract. Stone screwed up today.
On the bight side. Today has showed me to hire an agent and demand a raise at work Monday or else.. Let the bidding begin for my services.
"The third year on Fred VanVleet's contract is a full team option, source confirms." CutchFans "The Rockets agreed with free agent center Jock Landale on a four-year, $32M deal — with only the first season guaranteed, sources tell." ESPN
If the FVV part is true that is awesome. Wish we had at least an option on the 4th year of Brooks, but who knows maybe he’ll learn to hit corner 3’s and be our new Kiss of Death
