we are thinking long term . It’s a win win . Development and Financial . Plus it puts the team in better position. To make a trade later for something significant (think Allstar players in 2 years with matching contracts ) with big expiring contracts . Rockets have to create the situation to do that 1st . It’s only the beginning to something bigger .

Obviously it's not an exciting move to make the Rockets a contender anytime soon, but that wasn't happening no matter what. I don't really see the problem unless the deal is structured in a way that the third year is particularly limiting for the Rockets, which seems really unlikely.
This would be good for us also. Probably makes sense to send them KPJ at this point and make sure we have enough money to get lopez also
Based on what has been happening and Nook's intel, I would assume Dillon Brooks is coming. Which seems incredibly foolish as a role model for the youngsters. Will be up there with the attempted Oladipo contract for Stone's ****ups. Hopefully I'm wrong.
I’m not a big van fleet fan , but he probably helps us to the tune of 5 or 6 wins . not sure how we are going to play hopefully he is healthy or gets healthy. Hopefully he can be better than prime EG . 3 years is tough , but he’s young enough I think it will be OK . Also low ish mileage (even with nurse high mpg , he’s only at 11k career mins) At least we brought in competition at guard @Bobbythegreat already thinks our best backcourt is KPJ and Fred at SG … that’s honestly not bad . we will play 3 smalls a lot if kpj and green are passable . ultimately I still hope Tate becomes a better shooter and takes the PG spot and we win the chip with FVV off the bench or playing 3 guard starting lineups
I'm OK with this. Nobody on the roster is really a PG, so FVV is definitely an upgrade there and is also an adult and a winner. Lots of playoff experience between him and head coach. We have to spend the money and given who is available FVV is a decent option.
Hollinger and Vecenie, professional scouts and ex league execs think Fvv is worth the money and a top player in the league, like one l’ve been saying according to advanced metrics, meanwhile neckbeards on the internet cry.
