I'm not monitoring Washington's situation all that closely, so may be missing some things here. But if we are giving them assets, let's first have the conversation about Tyus Jones? He is on $14M, expiring- I wonder if Washington might prefer not to get something in return for him now in the early stages of their rebuild, rather than decide whether or not to pay him next summer. True, they could play him and wait until the deadline to see who has a need, but if we made the right offer now I wonder if they listen? Move KMjr for an asset (2nd rounder) Send TyTy, Garuba plus two 2nds (one from KMjr) for Jones? We don't need to move KJ - we have plenty of 2nds anyway - I just think Washington is unlikely to be enticed by him, they wouldn't want to decide whether or not to pay him next year
I like your trade for Tyus as well. I think Washington will figure out which guard is willing to extend at a reasonable salary and then trade the other. They have Jordan Poole for the next 4 years who also theoretically plays point some of the time. Tyus or Monte, one or the other Get It Done Stone!
https://bbs.clutchfans.net/threads/...e-agency-thread.315981/page-129#post-14699042 "I don't see KPJ traded at this point without a star coming back." so which star do you see any of the other 29 GM's sending back for your precious KPJ?
YES! Finally Ricky Rubio will be a Rocket! /s ... would the Cavaliers part with any assets that the Rockets want?
Cavaliers only have a 2024 first (I'm in), 2030 first (I mean ok), Okoro is a RFA next year (pass), Rubio is on a two year deal (old and unreliable so pass). I think the real play is how we can land Jarrett Allen. Rockets have the picks, contracts to make it happen if they wanted. I mentioned Donovan Mitchell yesterday but I highly doubt they would be willing to part ways... unless...
You can’t just cut people and free up their salary. It still counts against our cap. If you want to offload their salary, you have to find a team with cap space that will take them on without sending any salary back. That will cost you picks. We could get all three if they agreed to sign here for around market value apiece. Once we start increasing the annual money for a shorter contract, it’s going eliminate one of them.
You didn't find a quote where I said straight up so you quoted me saying I would include him for contract reasons. Nice job defeating your own point. You're done now...
errr, i quoted your post verbatim, there's no mention of contract or anything else, just flat out we're not trading him unless a star comes back. are u drunk?
