Please fire Baker. He's usage of Montero is baffling

Dusty is actively trying to lose games at this point. WTF!

Crickets from the Dustys Gut apologists.

This team was lucky last year, and won despite Dusty.

I’ve always said that should be the first line of Jeff Luhnow obit/ built such a great team/organization not even Dusty baker could **** it up 3 years after he left.

I’ve had enough of regular season Dusty. He needs to “retire” if the season continues on this trend

Maldy gets to hit for himself when we could have out a bullet in the head of the game. Bravo Dusty, Bravo.

Name one other manager in the league that doesn’t pinch hit Diaz, the highest active OPS on the team right now BTW, there for Maldy?

    I’ll wait.

I know what his response will be when asked later.
    It's Larussa style malpractice

Yes, Baker is given a lot more leeway in the regular season compared to the post season. This is something that has been consistent under Crane.

Honestly, right now Dusty is lower on my list of concerns. He has to play everyone in his pen when starters aren’t going deep and we are playing almost every day. My issue is more with management not getting him more help. Management should put Montero on the DL and work on his mechanics… Stanek has been bad, Martinez should be off the roster or a mop up guy. Blanco is not all that great either.

The Astros would have won at least 2/3 against the Dodgers if the Astros went and had gotten Barlow or Chapman of Hicks etc.

I normally agree with you but Baker is a major concern. We are losing lots of games at the margins. Lots of 1 run games, in extra innings , not pulling starters fast enough, Montero losing significant leads.

Agreed about everything but Dusty. If they aren't going to DL Montero, Dusty needs to only use him in mop up situations.

Gotta get a high leverage reliever or 2, the sooner the better. Gotta fool proof this for Dusty.

Not a single one would have pinch hit Diaz because they all would have started Diaz.

Fire this mf and save us some misery. Sooner or later, you will have to. He's giving you reasons. Today was another great example. It's like Don Shula's last years. They knew he had to go but couldn't do it. Riding around in a cart not knowing for sure where he was....

No. No no. You cannot play Montero if you want to win. NO

The Astros are not firing Dusty in the middle of a season, whether he deserves it or not. Not worth the PR hit.

He needs to retire (already) at the end of this year.

Can we stop with the "Fire Dusty Now" stuff and talk about the team like adults?
