A note for people wanting to complain about how crappy that list is. The Rockets have to spend $50mil+ just to reach the salary floor, and the new CBA iirc put harsher penalties on not meeting that obligation beyond just giving existing roster players more money. So whether you think signing Lopez or Brooks or Hachimora move the needle or not, the Rockets are going to sign some of these guys unless they decide to trade for big salaries to fill their cap
Beverley has way too much bark and not enough bite left in the tank. Dude's about to turn 35 and he was never an elite player in the first place. If we're going for a guy who brings a lot of defense as one of his main selling points, I'd like a younger player like Bruce Brown, Jevon Carter, or trade for Alex Caruso.
I’m sure the rockets have a much smaller wish list, but are trying to convey a message to agents to please call us fast and don’t expect us to unload max contracts out like tik tacks because we have options. That’s more of what I read from that. If they can get a less desirable free agent on a great contract that makes him a trade asset that’s something they’ll pursue. But I don’t expect they to be offering Jordan Clarkson 30 mil a year or anything. Harden and Van Fleet are probably the only two free agents that’ll get big time money.
ideally sign a couple one year rentals to get above the minimum and roll over that cap space to next summer. because this list is trash
Agreed. Let’s find some serviceable vets that at least play defense and can shoot ok. We can easily spend 50 mil, just need to make sure we don’t ruin our flexibility by paying one of these long in the tooth guys.
That list could be KD, Giannis, Jokic, Luka, prime Jordan and some of you would still think it's crappy . Gotta love Clutchfans.

I really don’t think Houston wants to give a point guard a contract longer than a year or two With Amen, Sengun, KPJ, and Green we shouldn’t really need a 25million contract for a veteran point guard after next years Two years max.
