I say we throw a big contract a Cam Johnson big SF who is a knock down shooter and will help with spacing for our team. Give him a big contract if BKN doesn’t match it makes us better and them worse. We also have there pick next year so them being worse would be very good for us.
I think Boston will try to trade Grant Williams so they can get something for him. If they let him go to free agency someone is going to make an offer they can’t match and they’ll lose him for nothing.
Could be opening up space to take on expiring deals for future assets (then acquire talent in 2024) + sign or acquire key players in 2023 (Lopez, Jones) Just looking at some of the $10M plus players - Tobias Harris (PHI) Philly doesn't really have much to give - Gordon Hayward (CHA) part of a plan to get to #2? - Kyle Lowry (MIA) becomes starting PG to teach young lead guards until trade deadline - Spencer Dinwiddie (BRK) see Lowry, but better defense on 1 - 3 - Evan Fournier (NYK) Knicks clear Frenchie off books to use $$$ to re-sign Hart; Rox hold until trade deadline - Davis Bertans (DAL) Part of a move to 10? There's reasons to clear cap space, but yeah... Rox should have plenty already
Woj sees Charlotte "penciling in, not in pen yet" Brandon Miller as the 2nd pick of the draft. Possibly huge for the Rockets, if true. Just saw the video on espn.com. Dame doesn't want Portland, with the 3rd pick, to take the pick. He wants veteran help. If there's any way we can get #3 from the Blazers and draft Scoot Henderson, go for it, Stone. Anyone short of Green, Smith, Sengun and Eason (who's coming off his rookie season, so I assume he wouldn't be involved) should be considered in a trade, in my opinion. Stone could use #4 to trade for a veteran(s) who would go to Portland? Likely a 3 team deal. Hey, if this is old news, my bad, OK?
"One interesting wrinkle to Houston’s interest is the prospect of moving up from the No. 20 pick. Conversations up to this point are mainly conceptual, but there have been discussions about potentially moving up from 20 to a range anywhere from the Miami Heat at No. 18 to the Dallas Mavericks at No. 10, sources say." — Kelly Iko
Damn. Is the kid crazy, or is he determined not to get drafted by the Hornets? His agent forget to mention that his paycheck for the next few years is directly impacted by his draft position? Very strange.
Celtics is more of a SUPERTEAM than the Suns. Why? The Sun is all about offense but the Celtics is a balance team with offense and interior defense……the Celtics are better.
According to multiple league sources, the completion of the Porzingis deal would likely mean that Grant Williams's time in Boston has come to an end. this make sense and Coach Ime need to go after him……perfect backup center!
Grant Williams is a 4 - but I agree that we should try and get him!! He could play next to Jabari (with Jabari at the 5) He can guard 3s on the switch and brings a nice hustle I'd see him worth 15-18M to us, and off the bench for 25-30mins a game
Yes, and? What is the question? How is it possible for them to do it? Or What are they thinking in doing this? Or Other?
George is costing them about 200 million a year in salary and tax... Balmer can afford it, but why? He's not worth it. They are the oldest team and highest payroll. Get some younger players for him and move on....
