I'm high on Cam Whitmore. As Marcus Smart flies under the radar to Jaylen and Tatum, either cutting to the rim or pop out to the 3-point line......Cam as a bigger version is too much to handle if teams are too focused on the facilitator of Jalen Green or Sengun or KPj or Jabari or FA Pick Up. 6'7" and 235 pounds with a 40" vertical leap demands attention from the interior defense. Add a vertical spacer like Capela or Brook Lopez or Myles Turner. Our 3-point shooters will get open looks.
Here are some Celtics plays. I'll let you figure out how Cam Whitmore fits in with the Udoka schemes. Hint: Udoka wants everyone setting screens, passing and cutting to the rim.
I'm thinking Batman could be Brooks Lopez, since he's often seen with Robin. "Too old" checks out as well. I'm not sure who qualifies as an older Texan (which I assume means someone who actually grew up in TX).
I take the Batman reference and “being too old” as Dillon Brooks which it will make sense with all that noise
The renewal reference seems to be referring to Harden. There’s nothing wrong with a Harden reunion, especially if [Batman] is joining him. Batman being a veteran that can move the needle. Maybe a reference to Middleton or Lopez. Though, no Texas connection with Lopez. After doing some Googling, I guess Grant Williams’ nickname really is Batman? And he’s from Texas? Hmm…not a bad player. Not sure he fits the move-the-needle description, though. Not even sure he’s better than Tari. Alright, I give up. Probably got none of that right. Love me a Doc riddle, though!
I think he means Harden and Tucker. Tucker played for the Longhorns, and has been Harden's "Robin" for a while. He is old as ****, but would be a good mentor for Jabari, and I don't think he would put up with any crap from KPJ and Jalen.
I don't think it would take that much for Morey to let him go to his old buddy Stone to be a veteran mentor for his old organization though. If Tucker is okay with very limited, situational minutes at this stage in his career he wouldn't be a bad pickup. He doesn't look like he has much left in the tank as a player but maybe there's something to the whole "everybody should have a Udonis Haslem in the locker room" thing.
i dunno if tucker is that type of veteran that players look up to. maybe a defensive voice at best. but them kicks doeee
I like this theory. Makes sense. That said, I think this is @Doc Rocket saying HE thinks bringing PJ back would be a good idea, not that the Rox or PJ are actually considering it.
I would hate to see him getting the max from Houston. I hope to see him being re-signed by the Bucks.
