no….but I’m checking out their website right now. They’ve already endeared themselves to me with the no “over sugared” comment. I HATE over sugared Thai food.
Ya'll are posting about Thai food in a thread about Chinese food?! YOu think all Asians are the same?!
I'm game. I love trying new dishes. Xing noodles look good. The Golden dumplings are my favorite thing in the video. That dried ass chicken? Not so much. Lol.
Street to Kitchen's chef, Benchwan Jabthong Painter, just won the James Beard award for "Best Chef: Texas". Time to move out of that gas station and erect his own building.
Those people deserve it, such such good food. Love it. I hope if they end up moving buildings that they stay in the east end.
BTW…… for Chinese food, I really like Duck ‘n Bao. Their Xiao Long Bao is legit. And that dry pot is spicy tingly awesomeness.
After spending a week in Bangkok and then the most recent week eating more Thai food in Singapore, I have to wonder if her food is really that good (I love it!) or if 99% of Americanized Thai is just that bad.
Yeah man. Nowadays I eat at Mala, Mein, Hu’s Cooking, various dim sum but lately Tim Ho Wan in Katy (been to original in Hong Kong which was amazing). I would kill for a Din Tai Fung in Houston
I was going to suggest Mein. Din Tai Fung is good, have a few locations here in WA. Was in Houston recently and there's a plethora of Sichuan restaurants now. Is Mala still the best?
yum. Went to one in Bangkok, two in Singapore and considering one in KL. SO good. But the Thai food has been even better.
You jackasses have motivated me to do something dumb that I will most likely regret later. I haven't been to the local Chinese Buffet since before covid hit. It'll be a bunch of americanized crap, but there's a time and place for that. They've allegedly remodeled and upgraded some things, I'll find out at ~11, want to get there before the church crowd gets done with jesus. I miss the proper asian foods in Houston.
I also just learned that my favorite Chinese place here in town does deliveries. So no buffet today, I'm an indoor lazy boy, not leaving the house. [oh, and I'm tipping the driver $5 if that's ok with all yall]
