this is one of those “I didn’t get fired, I quit” moments

Christian Wood almost certainly leaving, but the Mavs don’t want his ass anyways

I wonder who Wood will catfish next?

    1.Sign Wood.
    2.Sign Harden
    3.Traede 4 Young.

If you thought you liked the W-O-W lineup featuring Wood-Oladipo-Wall...

...then you will love the W-H-Y lineup featuring James, X-ian and Trae

    Patfael - make it so.

    Ime - gimme

Sacramento could be a good landing spot.. He'll fit right in defensively

Wood is much less talented, I agree. But he doesn't seem like a massive p***y like KAT is. He just seems like a selfish ballhog.

Last year was a quintessential Christian Wood year. Played right at his career averages all across. This is just what he is by now. Anything more would have to be a perfect fit getting him inspired on D for winning culture, a fit that doesnt seem to exist.

Apart from Wood, if Doncic asks out next year we need to be ready with package for him. Pretty sure it's going to happen with how terrible Cuban has been running things.

The Mavs were pretty much the perfect place for Wood—weak competition at his position, Texas, a superstar willing to make the game easier for him....

and he still bungled it. All he had to do was to play hard on defense and do his job, but nope. He really has a ton of talent. But at this point we’re going to remember him as PF Ricky Davis or something

I’ve been on this website since I was looking for a place to intently follow the Shandon Andersen chase. This post is among the most perfect I’ve ever read given the immediate timing and the thoroughness, as well as the accuracy, of the content.

Cuban will do everything in his power to make Luka his extended son / Mav for life like he did for Dirk, but if all else fails and Luka demands out, then Cuban will send him far east to Knicks/Nets/Sixers etc

He wouldn't trade this caliber player in-house to division rival

At least KAT seems to care. Wood doesn’t have any concept of team success and doesn’t care about anything except his own FGAs.

Would rather give KJ, Jabari, Tate, Sengun, Garuba and Tari minutes over him at any spot on the floor.

This dude needs a mentor and STILL needs a year to build good habits. We have too many pieces that need a little room for error, so we sign only reliable players moving forward and Wood doesn't fit that description. We want vets that can be mentors and we don't need any more bigs who need to work on their defense.

Mavs are really dumb the way they handled it, if their PR was like ours always saying the nicest things no matter what then they could have SnT'ed Wood for a rotation piece. However if Kyrie and Wood walk they can create max cap space pretty easily and getting a Robin for Luka remains the #1 priority. I have a feeling they will try to sign Harden and for them, maybe it's worth the risk. Harden and Luka seem to be cool with each other.

He was, but the best player on the worst team is not something you invest long-term salary into...
I think this ship has sailed.
Wembayama and/or Smith Jr. should give you the same production or better in a year or two...

We watched better Doncic for years. Absolutely no to fat Overwatch chucker that doesn't play defense.

Whether Luka requests a trade will be very interesting to watch. Will he continue the trend of superstars wanting out or will he be "too solid for this era"?
