At least the players like Dusty....... not sure what Ausmus brings to the table other than the occasional hitting instruction a hungover Bagwell can give you..... Dusty drives me nuts but over the last few seasons his bizarre decisions have been right more than wrong.......
ausmus would be horrible, and I’m just speaking in frustration because Diaz is in freaking Dusty jail. I just don’t get it. Diaz helps us today, we need him to play to understand our C situation next year and years beyond. It’s not that hard. We won the title and flags fly forever. We don’t win without Peña hitting in the 2 hole, JV getting the 5th inning, Yuli on the roster, and certainly other things I’m forgetting. That said, a part of me feels like it is one of those deals where you run a simulator 100 times and that was one of the 25 times that all the decisions came out roses.
I think it is easy to say Dubon and Julks were good calls by Dusty. They played well and separated themselves from their competition. They got more time. Meyers...he didn't start playing well until after Chas was hurt. I don't think there was much gnashing of teeth with Meyers playing once Chas was hurt. Meyers playing well is great, but I think it was a really easy choice.
Meyers in CF and Dubon at 2B both simultaneously playing well thankfully rendered him irrelevant... until tonight
I just checked. He hasn’t played in any game with Houston. Against Nola Couldn’t be any worse then Hensley though.
Agree. He needs the at bats too. I like his swing for power. Dusty I don’t understand. Wish he had retired because of his lineup decisions.
While I agree you can sign up for Appletv for a 90 day trial for free and cancel anytime. That's what I did this year.
