Let me say upfront, I really enjoyed Harden's time in Houston. The scoring titles, he was hardly ever hurt, played hard every night, etc. The only problem I had was his playoff performances...not what I expected from a superstar. That being said, why in the heck would the Rockets want him? We are a young team...he is an older player that doesn't fit. He seems to be hurt all time now, (probably because he is older) For his salary, he should be able to get a younger superstar. I would rather try for Trea Young or Luka or some disgruntled star then bring back that retread!
this has been beaten to death already all the pro and con arguments have already been laid out and repeated a million times at this point
Yes, why would a team in dire need of better playmaking to help unlock their young talent want the league's leading assist man.
We need a playmaker and Harden is currently the best one avaliable who has history with our org and has shown interested. U would b dumb to say nah and attempted to run it back with kpj or someone inferior to harden
Harden is old, slow and show no LIFE on defense! I want to draft Scoot Henderson or sign Van Vleet and Cameron Johnson
He'd be a REALLY bad locker room influence, but he'd also be really good in a Manu Ginobili role playing 20 minutes a night off the bench.
If he can come at a discount I would think about it. Rockets need enough cap money to pay for other pieces.
Suns were nothing except Booker, Ayton, Cam Johnson and Mikal Bridges until they added CP3......high salary, always hurt, old. Sound familiar? Just Harden by himself gets a team to the playoffs
