Anyway, so, about Jaylen Brown... I'd take him, but don't want to lose Alpi, Jalen, Bari, Tari or our pick this year if it is top 2. We will have to wait where we pick and until the playoffs are over for the Celtics anyway.

 

That would be ideal for sure, but just not realistic. Boston would demand some young core players. I wonder how patient they’re gonna be. I don’t wanna blow up the team and add players in their 30s. I feel like harden would bring other vets, which I wouldn’t like. Im down for JB bc he’s only 26

 

Well, what if we pick 4th, for instance.

4th pick plus a top 3 protected 1st round pick some other year, plus KPJ and Tate or something. If Brown told them he will leave in a year for sure, this would be a pretty good return for them?

We'd get Brown, pick up Harden, sign some big backup C. We would be pretty good...

Boston is in win now mode, I think they would want a proven player. They would demand Jalen, Jabari, or Sengun. If they were rebuilding, I think they may consider the package you mentioned

Imo that doesn’t matter bc we don’t have the guy yet. We won 22 games, therefore I’m not worried about player rankings. That’s also why I’m not attached to any player. When this team is actually good again, I would care.

But IF some thing fall into place, we'd almost be crazy not to trade one of Jalen, Jabari or Sengun.

If we win the draft lotto, I wouldn't hesitate to trade 2 of those 3 players (in separate deals) to bring back established players who can help us win.

sign Harden for 45mill

The bench is thin, but you've got some top tier talent in the starting 5. Max Brown the following summer, and keep a keen eye on the buyout market.

 

People get there hopes up on Brown, but I just don't see him coming here there rumor with better legs with him joining Portland.

I doubt he comes here as well as harden. People better get used to losing with these young players and rooks.

They need find a coach to at least turn some of this losing around. They have a talented group, but can't play defense to close out games. This may change in few years after they get benched for players who can.
