They're popular. I had some co-workers use one of those for their coffee at work. Too damn much effort for me to sit there grinding beans, then shoving it through that thing, and then cleaning up afterwards. The coffee tasted better from using this than our coffee maker at work that probably gets cleaned once every decade, but then the people using it also used expensive coffee, so ... yeah. Seems expensive for what it does, but what do I know?

French press presses on the grounds. Areopress presses on the water via air pressure.

Got the Breville Bambino Plus a few days ago.
    Eureka grinder.

    Learning to pull espressos now.

Trying to not go down the rabbit hole.

So far I have pulled some decent shots and made a few lattes. Still learning to distribute/tamp better and also dial in the grinder settings.

Ninja Dual Brew with the K-Cup adapter. Good for the quick K-cup on weekdays and can brew a half or full pot on weekends.

Also does surprisingly well on the iced coffee setting for both K-cup and grounds.

Any good expresso machines you guys recommend? I've got a Keurig and a Drip coffee maker, but being in Europe a week ago has me jonesin for expressos.

They had the Lavazza machines in the hotel, was thinking about getting one of those.

I guess ... $200-300? Could go more if it's like super awesome, but $200-$300 would be ideal.

with that budget, you probably don't have any room for a separate grinder.

You can score a breville bambino for <300 if you can get the bed bath coupon to work. But a grinder is another few hundred?

Man, if you've gone Breville and grinders, you're already in the rabbit hole. All you need to have is a wild beard and mustache, a beanie for your head, then throw one arm behind your back as you pour, and you're set. :D

Bro, it's "espresso". You start googling how to "express" stuff, and you're gonna find stuff you're probably not looking for. :D I do admit I love the couple of times I tried an espresso. But I'm a coffee barbarian that likes to slow-chug about 12-16 oz of coffee, so I could never do it daily with a tiny amount of espresso.

Explain. So espresso machines need a special grinder? I've got a basic coffee grinder. Would that work?

Grinder is more important than the machine if you want to make good espresso.
How even the grind is key.

I get in my car and drive to dutch bros, wait in a long line, order the hot golden eagle with soft top, get annoyed by the small talk the window person wants to make with me, get my free sticker like I just went to the doctor, and done. I'm basic.
