24hr fitness membership

It's not overcrowded if you know the right time to go. Of course if you go after work at around 6pm, it's going to be a meat factory, with people checking each other out and more interested in picking up members of the opposite sex.

I go at 5am, and its quiet with all the diligent people there to get in shape.

And yes, I was VERY pissed when they were closed on Christmas day. I had to make other plans for working out that morning.

And all of the non-Sport clubs are usually closed Sundays from midnight to 7am, which also is a joke. But I only go to Sport clubs, so its no biggie.

For the price, I think 24 Hour Fitness is awesome. Plus, with that gym, I can get a workout when I'm out of town... something you can't do with a local club. Back in May I went to Austin for my sister's graduation, and I was able to still work out at 24-Hour Fitness everyday I was in Austin for the weekend. Can't beat that!

 

do they charge application fee and processing fee or other fees?

which 24 fitness are u guys going to?

I have called them inquiring about membership and they all seem to give different quotes.

I'm surprised you got quotes on the phone. They seem pretty strict about giving potential customers a tour before talking prices. I've seen people walk out in a huff b/c they can't get price quotes w/o listening to the spiel first.

I go to the one on San Felipe just outside the loop.

 

I haven't been to 24 since my wife went into the hospital in January. She was in for 3 weeks and my routine got disrupted. Never went back... now starting law school at night and thinking of canceling.

 

The hook of low monthly fees is that you almost hate to cancel as you would lose your low rate. I pay about $8 monthly for a club affiliated with 24 fitness.

It works out to about $80 per visit!

 

I have a one club membership and pay almost 40 a month!

 

what can you guys bench? i am at 400. come on sissys spit it out

I highly doubt that. I have a buddy of mine that works out religiously. He is huge and he maxes out at 350. I have to call bull**** on this one.
