He seems to be a better leader and more respected than our last three or four guys.

    Hopefully.

Robert Saleh had a similar ascension and Jets fans don’t think he’s a good HC despite some of the success they had this year.

Another dumb decision by Jerrah. Kellen wasn't the problem. Prescott was the problem. Zeke was the problem. Not replacing receivers that left was the problem. Kellen did a great job of initially developing Prescott. Look at what he did incorporating Pollard.

This is why Steichen was my second option…after Ben Johnson.

    But I’m happy with Demeco.

I didn't suggest that. Just saying why Dallas will continue to suck. They should have fired McCarthy.

I love that idea too! I’m sure DeMeco will be fine.

Honestly I think Gannon, Demeco, Kafka, or Steichen will be fine. Each have their strengths and weaknesses and we all have our preferences. I just happen to prefer an offensive HC

I thought Denver would give a look but it seems Gannon is staying in Philly. Wonder what they will do with there coaching search…

It’s amazing how the fall of Russel Wilson has basically crippled that franchise.

Almost the exact opposite of what happened to them after they got Peyton Manning.

Guess it truly does all even out.

All I know is I am just happy we are going to be getting a good coach. We could nitpick and debate Gannon, Demeco, Kafka, and Steichen, and to some points we would all be right. At least it is not like the shitshow of the last 2 coaching searches. Unless Mama McNair starts screaming "I want McCown" all of a sudden.

Texans probably already let him know he’s out

Lol…my point was there are other reasons besides the performance of the niners defense to be excited about Ryans. We have heard from dozens of former players, coaches, media members, etc saying the Demeco has the skill set to be a great coach. I haven’t seen the same level of enthusiasm for Steichen or Kafka.

I have no idea if Demeco will succeed as a coach. In fact chances are he gets fired before he wins a Super Bowl here. But today I’m happy the Texans appear to have conducted a fairly thorough coaching search and hired a qualified candidate. Regardless of whether or not the GM and owner are on the same page.
